Yes you may have heard or even own some of these games, but I'm sure there are many you never heard of. I tried to pick out all the best race games that are not well known to most of us or you may find them just intriguing as I did.

I don't know about you, but I haven't heard of this game before this list. The aim of each player is to be the first to return to the entrance of the forest with his wizard (the arrival and departure squares), after having collected the necessary 3 items.

I haven't heard of this one until recently and it looks like a neat game. The pieces are big honking Moai (Easter Island Statues) heads, how cool!

This game looks so sweet. I wish somebody would pick this up and mass produce it. This has been on my wishlist for well over a year and no place to be found.

The board is beautifully illustrated and the game won the Spiel des Jahres award for Most Beautiful Game in 1986.

This looks like a fun game. Something about racing in the desert that sounds fun. Whats that one movie called a few years back?

Looks like they were using the Formula D dashboards back then. A nice car race simulation, with many real components, like tires, suspension, brakes and gear manipulation.

The "Dogs" run against the turn of a set of specially formulated cards which automatically adjust the odds and form, which is determined before every race, so that the outcome of each race is as predictable (and unpredictable) as in the real world of dog racing.

Looks sweet and I want it. Tour sets out to recreate the team-based tactics and excitement of pro cycling (without the drugs!) by combining the roll and move styling of Formula De with the need to use your differently skilled team of cyclists (up to five unique cyclists per team) to the best of their abilities.
