Well if we are up that far towards Value World just for lunch, how can we not stop? Picked this up for $2.92. Tape removal went fairly well. The box top has shelfwear, some creasing, grease pencil, and a split and partially torn corner. The box bottom has some scuffs (some from tape removal). Inside it is complete except for the d6 (at least the specialty die is there. The buildings are in great shape except some of tops and bases were not put on gracefully but most results are not viewable. The specialty die and the money show a lot of use. The recreational facilities and deeds show their use as well but not as badly as the money and specialty die. Some of the deeds have creases.
Since I have a big car repair bill to fund, this is probably going up for sale.

Also got this one at Value World. This one went for $1.21. The tape monkey had a field day on it. But that is ok. The box has a multitude of issues and would be unarmed in a beauty contest including split corners and torn sides, etc.. It is complete but one of the yellow marbles is a replacement and it is obvious. Even beyond complete as it had a nearly full quart size bag of extra marbles!

100% complete and the spring-loaded pivot device still shoots like a cannon.
The box is rough but not too bad for a game 30+ years old.
Already played it twice!
$2.00

This version shown in the picture. $0.75 at Southern Thrift. Worth it for 30 yellow D6, I suppose....

One of my favorite thrift stores has a thing for Sequence. Every copy goes to the collectible counters for $30 or $40. I often wonder if they ever sell at that price. Anyhow, this copy is unplayed and in perfect condition for $1.99 at Goodwill.

I picked up a basic Heroscape box crushed and taped. I give the Heroscape finds to my buddy Joel, which frees me from the need to inventory it. $1.95 at Goodwill.

Had an interesting weekend. Drove from the fabulous twin cities of Shreveport/Bossier City up to the hunting grounds of Great_Mazinga to attend not one but two family reunions. We met with my dad’s side for a picnic lunch at a park in Midwest City. This is an annual event, and the only time I get to see my surviving aunts, uncles, and cousins. After that, we joined part of my mom’s side of the family for a dinner in a reserved room at a restaurant in Edmond. Spent the day at opposite ends of the Oklahoma City metro area.
But, before all the festivities, my wife and kids and I did a bit of thrifting. This was the only game worth picking up, at a Value Village for $0.99. My version (1982) was complete, came in a red box and had some packing tape wrapped all the way around, but I was able to peel it off with no damage.
On our way to another batch of thrift shops I saw a sign pointing to a tourist site. We detoured, and spent an hour walking around the Oklahoma City National Memorial. I took a lot of pictures, and we never made it to the thrift shops on our list. I think it was the better choice.

The first garage sale that I've been able to make it to this year was Saturday and it started off well.
Missing one wrench. Not the box pictured. $1.00 Biggest bargain was the 21" Sabian Metal X Ride cymbal and a bunch of sticks, a pair of mallets and a bag for $65.00!

Keeping my hand in on my big trip to Toronto... I didn't find anything in any city I stopped in except Kingston.
Titanic: the board game was $3.50, and was unexpectedly and happily complete.
Also paid $1 for Waterworks, as raw materials for my homemade simplified version of Clue.
At the Kingston, ON, Value Village I found [rpgID=1129], aka Top Secret, in a box set so old the TSR logo still had a picture of a wizard. Right beside it was a "Man, Myth & Legend" RPG box set by Yaquinto Games. Don't know much about that one, but it was priced low enough to take a flutter on it.

The following items I picked up at the auction at Origins...I was quite surprised by some of the deals like a very fine copy of Magic Realm for $60. It's mostly unpunched and the only signs of wear on the box is some very minor wear on the tips of the corners.
