Due to some work over at the RPG Geek beta, I've come into posession of a fair amount of GeekGold; and I'd like to give some of that back. When I first joined BGG in 2007, it took months of modding to save up enough for an avatar, let alone a few microbadges.
So, to all of the users without an avatar: here's your chance! I'm giving away 30 GG to someone who doesn't have an avatar. All you have to do is add an entry to this geeklist. List your favorite games, point to a contribution you've made on this site, tell a joke--anything goes. At the end of the week I'll randomly award 30 GG. Any tips I receive will go towards providing avatars for more users.
Good luck everyone!
Update: Thanks to TiwazTyrsfist, I will now be giving away three! avatars. And cold_fuzion has generously provided avatars for others on this list.
Update #2: This was a bonanza of an avatar giveaway! A big "thank you" goes out to everyone who donated, especially gwen, who donated over 250 GG to people on this list. And now, here are the final results of the winners! I've included everyone in the following eight pages who now has an avatar or enough money to buy one:

Well, Power Grid is definitely my favorite game. Though I played Pandemic over a dozen times since I bought it a few days ago, and we also played some Cosmic Encounter, which was very fun.
Contests are fun too. Unfortunately I have no jokes, but here's my entry anyways!
*EDIT*
I can now point to a contribution I've made. Hurray!

This was my first "real Wargame". (I only had Risk)
Still my all time favorite. As for the joke, the game is in french and I learned to read it because of it. Besides I will bet that no one else in this GeekList has this one.
Edit: I have to update the information, I now have enough for an avatar. So this contribution is "Extra-competition".

Obviously, I already have an avatar (Hobbes ROCKS!). I don't want the avatar or the geekgold. I want K26dp (Andy Harris) to have the geekgold and have himself a Martian avatar that he so richly needs and deserves. So stick K26dp into the barrel and here's hoping that his name gets drawn!

For my favorite geeklist on the site. I think most of my contributions have been in these weekly thrift store lists, and many pieces of my game collection have been acquired from thrift stores, either directly or thanks to trades.

I don't need an avatar either, obviously, but I want to get the ball rolling on the jokes. If my name is drawn, randomly, draw again and give it to a deserving soul.
The joke: What's brown and sticky?
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): A stick!

I love this game. It will bring my Dad, who does not really care for gaming, to the table for a few rounds. You can read my session reports here and here.
Edit: Cold_Fusion already gave me the money for an avatar here so I won't be needing anymore GG. Thank you so much anyway.

When I saw this list the first thing I thought of was my daughter who is living at home for 2 months and has recently joined BGG. Then when I saw Doug's (Scammer's) entry above, I thought, "Yeah, I can do that, too!" So this is for her, not for me. I love my avatar!
Her name is Melissa but has been known affectionately as Moosie to all of us for many years. Her geek name is "moose of many colors." I would love to encourage her in this endeavor by seeing her get her own "moose" avatar.
So put her name up for consideration or draw.
(I might see if she wants to enter this thing on her own as well.)

My only contribution so far is a review I did for Bombay. It was the first one done for this game and I was damn excited that it kept getting thumbs. Unfortunately its popularity died down when other, more prominent reviewers submitted their info

Since making the linked GeekList, I have played several of the games I listed.
TZAAR: Okay, yeah, this one is really good. I finally got around to playing it because I want to try Ultimate GIPF, and I don't have TAMSK. But everyone was right: this is a singular game in the series, and I think it's my favorite right now.
Israeli Independence: I played it a few times while bored. I think I'm done with it. It would probably be more interesting if I had any connection to the conflict in question.
El Grande: Tried it again. It's really just not my game. It's been traded away.
Cosmic Encounter: Playing it again made me realize how much of my enjoyment of the game was due to nostalgia. I don't need this anymore.
Gunslinger: Played a three-player, extremely short shootout. I think the other players were disappointed; I'm ready to try again.
Edited to add a joke (technically a riddle?): What's green and fuzzy, has four legs, and would kill you if it fell on you out of a tree?
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): A pool table!
Edited AGAIN to add: Thanks so much, gwen! I've been avatarred!

I really like this old Fantasy Flight classic, and take the opportunity to promote it whenever I can. I wrote this review for it.
I've been trying to accumulate enough GG for an avatar on the strength of my contributions to the 'site, 'cuz hey, what's GG for, if not to encourage people to add to BGG?
Edit, 7/16/09: Thanks to the generosity of a couple of users, I've got an avatar! Woo hoo! With some more hoo, and a side of woo!
It's a crop of a picture I took of an objective marker I built for miniatures gaming:
Thanks, everyone!

Carcassonne is probably my favorite game that I own right now, mainly because it works really well as a 2 player game. Most of my gaming opportunities are with just my wife and me, so this is a game that works really well for us.
As far as my contributions, I've contributed some pictures, comments, a GeekList, and am a 2009 patron. Thanks!
UPDATE: I just earned enough to get my avatar myself, so you can take me out of the running. Thanks for doing this!

Tikal - my gateway game to the greater world of boardgames when I played it 10 years ago between RPG sessions at good 'ole GenCon (when it was still in WI)... only I didn't really get going in boardgaming until last year when I found an awesome boardgame group and also BGG... so let's kick it up a notch become active in the BGG community with my first geeklist entry. Thanks for the chance to get an avatar!

An entry that's both a favourite game and a contribution (or series of). I discovered Pirates! back around 2000, and I pretty much joined BBG to help bring awareness to it and other wargames. For Pirates! I've uploaded game aids to help players, including the campaign rules from a previous edition.

Been on the road to an avatar for a while
. Changes in work/family have made my presence on the Geek fluctuate.
Have uploaded a few pictures and made a microbadge.
And now to share the pain of one of my favorite bad jokes.
A con-man posing as a fortune teller was arrested by the police. Due to his small stature he was able to escape prison through a tiny drain. Police then issued an APB for the escaped prisoner
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal): to be on the lookout for a small medium at large.

Been around for a bit now, contributed to the stie but still don't have enough for an avatar.
Love my games though, keep buying them at a steady 1 per month, everything from formula D to container to dimplomacy. Love expanding those horizons and finding new stuff.
P.S even if i don't win. Ur awesome!!
Decided to add some jokes as well (I do not condone any violence or horribleness of the jokes I am about to convey they are funny in a really weird way):
So two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "man is it hot in here or is it just me" the other muffin looks at him and says "UHHHHHHH TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
A baby seal walks into a bar the bartender asks him "what will you be having" the seal answers "Anything except a canadian club on the rocks"
Me and my significant other have this thing with smack talk, I talk and she smacks me.
and thats off the top of my head cuz i'm bored in my class...enjoy

Here goes a joke (or at least a project of, lol) as an avatar would be nice
:
A neutron walks into a bar and orders a drink. After he's done drinking , he says to the bartender: What do I owe you? And so the bartender responds: Oh, you are free of charge.

I modified a C&C:A leader piece with a picture of Kirk Douglas as Spartacus, set up one of the spartacus scenarios, and took a picture with the "I Am Spartacus" card face up. I said that I wanted to make the game more historically accurate.
I've done a couple of GeekLists, too: Let's Play Monopoly http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/39023 My Evolution as a Gamer http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/16966 Songs With Talking Dogs http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/30636

I haven't done much of note here on the Geek, other than to encourage other budding game designers, stir the pot with some differing points of view regarding everything from world economics, game publishing, and pricing, and this small and incomplete analysis on the mathematics of the battle tower in the game Shogun.

I'll pick Stone Age as a current favorite because it was the game that convinced my wife that games could be fun without being stupid (she means you, Munchkin). Her favorite now is Dominion, but Stone Age is the one that got the ball rolling, and for that it will always get bonus points from me.
