Hey, we've all been there. Home alone, with no one to share a good board game with.

Fear no more. Forget solitaire. Salvation is here. Ugly Dolls to the rescue.

Meet the cast:

Alex
It seems this guy lives in a padded cell, which would explain why he has so much trouble finding people to play board games with. The fact that he plays games with his two imaginary friends probably explains why he's in a padded cell in the first place. It's a death spiral with no way out, really.

Seth
The blue guy with large eyes and no brains. Creates an elaborate ruse of knowing how to play board games. Usually mixes games up and doesn't remember any rules. Introduces chaos and randomness into any game. From time to time speaks German.

Grün
The green guy with the disgusted face. The real brain among the three. Very cynical, logical and good with numbers. Has a weak spot for beautiful women. When not playing board games, dreams about world domination.

Bobski
The brown guy, a recent addition to the gaming group. No one knows where he came from, as he's not very talkative, but Seth seems to have befriended him, and an extra player is an obvious plus. Also knows as "Silent Bobski".

Hey Alex, I invited the guys and some mates round for Pandemic. Seth ran away, he said it was to hard playing co-op with Grun.
However, Grun ended up playing the Bio-terroist anyway. Goodness, what a mistake that was!
All the Ugly Dolls had fun, that's the main thing.

The first three books in the series are my favorite fantasy books but the most recent one really fell flat for me for some reason. I'm hoping the next lives up to the first three.

I just gave up and read Stephen Erickson's "Malazan Tales" series again. Maybe by the time that series is finished, Martin will have his next book out? (By the way, I highly recommend Erickson if you're a fan of Zelazny, Martin, or just fantasy at all.)

This declaration of a further Christmas behind Christmas is interesting and touches my Carrollian approach to the life. That approach to the life that leads me to celebrate the no-birthdays than the birthday since you have 364 no-birthdays and just one birthday in a year.

Let me know, so may be that I decide to have a further Christmas!

The Orthodox Christmas is on January 7th, and is not really celebrated, being more of a specifically religious holiday. New Year, on the other hand, is the main holiday in Russia, being similar to a Christmas celebration in Catholic countries. E.g., all gifts are given out on New Year, and not Christmas here.

But I like your thinking.

Thanks for liking my thinking, but you didn't give it even a thumb up!

Not really Seth and Grün related, but my girlfriend and I are planning to visit Amsterdam in the beginning of July. If anyone subscribed to this list is up for a live game in the area, drop me an PM, would be quite happy to meet Dutch geeks!
