Welcome everyone to the October Edition of the Geekgold for Game Lottery. Thanks Blott for the amazing Idea and thanks everyone who took part last time.

These are the Rules

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post both RPG Items and Boardgames.
6. The item must be draw before 31st of October 2009

What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, draw a random name from those that have tipped your entry. If you allowed multiple entries remember to take it in consideration.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed I will move it to the bottom of the list. Please don't delete them

How to find the winner?
You can use any fair method you like, like putting the names on a hat and drawing it.

created an wonderful application that you can find here. It is very simple to use.
1. Got to the url by clicking here.
2. When you mouseover on the number of your item, you get a URL like this
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/46332/item/1043139#ite....
Your item id is the number after item, in this case it would be 1043139
3. As for bonus, for now the system can only work with given 1 for a given number of . For example, every 5 gets you 1 bonus.
4. You can limit too the amount of a user will be able to use to enter the contest

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Winners and Drawn Items
I will keep an item as the first item on this list keeping a link to all already drawn items and the winners so it is easier to check.

Having spent all of my GG on the *last* Geekgold lottery, I figure it's time to earn some more (so that I can hopefully participate in this month's fun). So, without further ado, I'll submit my item for this month's GG lottery:

A copy of Saint Petersburg!
All components are present and accounted for, and the game is in very good condition. That said, there is some minor shelf-wear on one corner and on the back of the box.

Rules:
* 1 per entry
* Multiple entries are permitted
* I will pay shipping within North America
* Shipping to other locations will be split between myself and the winner
* Draw will take place on October 20th, with the winner to be notified by GM and on this list

I've really enjoyed this game. Please give it a good home!

I'm putting up a new and unplayed copy of my Ogre Castle game. It's a self-published little game that's great for the entire family. It has been getting good reviews here on BGG and even a favorable mention from The Dice Tower's family-game reviewer Mark Zielinsky in episode #156. If you're looking for an enjoyable way to spend the evening with your family, this it the perfect solution.

We'll run this lottery until Midnight Pacific Time on October 20th and then draw the winner on Oct 21st.

1GG = 1 Entry and you may enter as often as you like.

I will pay for shipping to the winner...in the USA or out.

10/10/2009 UPDATE: The lottery response for Ogre Castle has been WAY more than I expected, so, to say thank you, I've decided to choose two winners instead of just one. So, every time you enter you have DOUBLE the chance to win.

10/20/2009 UPDATE: This lottery is now closed. Winners will be announced shortly.

10/21/2009 UPDATE: And the winners are.....

I will send a geekmail to each of the lucky winners and workout the delivery details. As noted, I'll pay shipping.

Oh, as for Lance's generous offer to give up a "second win" if it should happen, it turned out not to be necessary. Each won on their own. I was pleased to see both the highest entering person and a contestant with only one entry come out as winners. Justice prevails.

For those who did not win...thank you VERY MUCH for participating. You can look forward to more chances to win Ogre Castle in future lotteries or, if you don't want to risk it to fate, you can buy a copy here on the BGG marketplace or at the Clever Mojo Games web site.

GAME DESCRIPTION (From the BGG game page.)

From the Publishers's Website

Powerstorm is a superhero fighting customizable card game designed by Lee Valentine of Veritas Games Company. Almost everything about Powerstorm is designed to mimic some aspect of comic book battling action.

Deck building is varied enough to allow you to play customized teams or your favorite traditional comic book supergroups. However, the game offers a wide variety of pre-game and in-game strategic and tactical choices, equally balancing the importance of deck design skills, tournament metagame decisions, and general game play skills.

Powerstorm will be released in both pre-constructed starter decks and silver Mylar-wrapped draft packs of 14 cards, to appeal both to the dabbler and the card collecting enthusiasts.

Home Page: http://www.veritasgames.net/ps/index.html

GAME CONDITION

Excellent condition. I have 2 boxes (which I assume are starter decks), each with 50 cards. One box is labeled "Cyber Force", and the other is labeled "Cyberdata". The boxes have been opened and the boxes themselves show some wear, but the cards appear to have never been used and are in excellent condition.

ENTRIES

Multiple entries per person [HA!! I accidentally typed "parson" at first - I guess I subconsciously wanted to give an edge to the clergy!] are allowed. Every 5 GG entered by a single user will give that user 6 entries in the draw.

SHIPPING

I will ship them in a padded envelope anywhere in the world, and I'll cover the shipping costs myself.

ITEM CLOSE DATE

This item will close sometime on October 20th, and the item will be shipped before the end of that week. I have a LOT going on in my life right now, so don't be nervous if I'm away from BGG for most of the next few weeks - I've written this date on my calendar so I don't forget!

By gosh, Lance's luck has struck again! Congratulations!

This copy of Android has been punched and sorted, but never played. There is some minor shelf wear on the bottom edges of the box, but the game board and components are like new.

I will ship to continental US via UPS Ground and cover the cost myself. I will ship internationally via USPS Flat Rate; I will split shipping costs 50/50 with an international winner.

Multiple entries are allowed, and since I like the idea, every 5 entries will gain you an extra one free. Thus, every 5 will net you 6 entries.

The drawing for this game will take place on October 23, 2009 around 6 PM CST, using jeromier's application (mentioned in the list header).

See below for the names and the drawing results

My first auction! And maybe the first on the RPG side? Not sure...

Anyway, let's hope I know how this works

Up for lottery is a brand new in shrink copy of Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition core rulebook collection from 2008. This is the slipcase edition containing the first three core rulebooks - Dungeon Master's Guide, Player's Handbook and Monster Manual. Almost 1000 pages of RPG goodness here!

Condition: Brand new. Shipped from Amazon (using the BGG->Amazon link so Derk and Aldie get some small compensation) direct to you.

Rules of Entry
Only 1gg donation per person please. I know not everyone has piles of geekgold and this will be totally fair for the person giving up their last geekgold as it will be for the guy that has thousands.

Further, every geek gold I get will be given back out to the community in the form of tips for RPG related session reports, reviews and articles to help support RPG Geek which in turn helps Aldie & Co.

Contest End Date
The drawing for this lottery will take place at 4PM EST on Saturday, 24 October 2009.

Shipping
I will ship the game anywhere in the USA as I have free shipping from Amazon. Due to the weight of the collection and my ability to ship free from Amazon cannot ship outside the USA - sorry.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions and good luck!

But more wonderful than the lore of old men and the lore of books is the secret lore of ocean Munchkin.
-H.P. Lovecraft

It's Cthulhu. It's Munchkin. What more could you ask for (I mean besides one of those awesome lotteries for any game from your Wish List or a copy of Dominion or something?)

Okay, I'll sweeten the deal. In addition to this opened-but-unplayed, like new copy of Munchkin Cthulhu, I'll include the first expansion (also in opened-but-unplayed condition), Munchkin Cthulhu 2: Call of Cowthulhu:

I believe the cards for both sets are still in the shrink wrap.

It became necessary to offer these items when, while exploring the cyclopean vaults beneath my ancestral home, I logged on to BGG and discovered I had fewer than 5 GG left in my account and there were more lotteries I wanted to enter.

O' the cosmic horror!

One GG = One Entry. Multiple entries are welcome so tip as much as your sanity will allow. For each multiple of 5 GG tipped per entrant, I will award a bonus entry (so 5 GG = 6 entries, 10 GG = 12 entries, and so on).

I will cover shipping anywhere in the U.S., because Deep Ones in service to Dagon and Mighty Cthulhu himself would certainly intercept the package anywhere en route overseas, I cannot ship internationally.

All bids by individuals named Whateley or those with the "Innsmouth Look" will need to be preapproved.

This lottery will end between 11 and 11:59 p.m. Saturday, October 24 and should ship that same weekend, likely arriving in time for Halloween.

Edit: ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn

LOTTERY CLOSED!!!

WISHLIST LOTTERY

Alright, here's a twist on the lottery.

The winner of this lottery gets a brand new game from their wishlist! Yes, you read that right. If you win, I will look at your wishlist and buy you a brand new game of my choosing on your wishlist. I will factor in priority, so there's a good chance you'll get a "Must Have" game. Make sure you have at least 5 games that are in print and available on your wishlist for me to choose.

So there you go, a guaranteed game from your wishlist!

EDIT: In store pick ups are options as well, and if the store can ship to winner instead of me just split the shipping.

EDIT #2: I'll cover all shipping charges anywhere.

EDIT #3:

GEEKGOLD POTLUCK
Since this lottery has the potential to get pretty high, I will do an extra drawing for a 10% share of the GeekGold total starting at 1000. I will do another drawing at 1300 and 1500 , so I will do up to 3 drawings maximum! Each previous winner will be excluded from the next drawing, so there's no chance of winning twice.

So if this reaches 1500 , I will only do a maximum of 3 extra drawings. So 3 lucky winners will be looking at 150 or more if it gets this high!

So the breakdown:

less than 1000 = wishlist winner
1000 = wishlist winner, one winner with at least 100 (10%)
1300 = wishlist winner, two winners with at least 130
1500+ = wishlist winner, three winners with at least 150 or more!

I'd hate for so many to completely loose out, since this could get to be alot of . Might as well share the wealth with such a great group of people

Lottery closes on Oct 19th at 10:00 P.M central time. Drawing will be held soon after.

Bidding:
1 GG per entry, multiple entries allowed!

EDIT #4
Bonus entries: every 5 gets you 1 extra entry! I'm also lowering values for the other potluck winners!

EDIT #5:
I'll be using "jeromier"'s excellent tool for the first drawing. I'll use it for the others if he adds a way to remove users from the list.

EDIT #6:
Alright, potluck is activated. The lucky winner will get a chance at 10%. I modified the breakdown, so other people can get a shot at some more sooner.

EDIT #7:
Alright, since I'm not going out of town next week, I'm ending the lottery Monday the 19th at midnight CST.

EDIT #8: Changed the closing time to 10:00 p.m. CST

EDIT #9: Looks there will be two drawings for 10% now! Anyone want to make 1500 for three drawings?

EDIT #10: Alright, looks like we made the 1500 mark! Get ready for three 10% winners!!

Good Luck!

Ok, first time with one of these geek Lottery things. If I miss something, please let me know.

Game is near mint condition, played 3-4 times in last 20 years. All pieces are accounted for. There are even a few extras pieces, looks like Milton Bradley included extras in case of loss or breakage.

The box has some shelf wear, no major damage but some wear and pealing at corners.

Only thing not original is dice, game uses 6, 8 and 10 sided.....looks like they where borrowed for other games. I will include 12 dice total, 4 of each. (this is what the Game Parts list says was there).

Multiple entries is fine with me.

Due to size I will ask for the winner to cover any shipping costs over 10 bucks.

End date is Oct 27.

Good luck

Suffice to say, this game is not for me, and I figured I'd start small (I've got something a lot bigger for next month!)

Condition is like new. The game has been opened, but is essentially unplayed. No dents in the box, though there may be some slight signs of wear on it.

1GG per entry, no limit on entries. I'll use a random.org number to determine the winner.

Shipping is free to the lower 48, I don't think it's worth shipping out of the country, but if you do, I'll charge $5 under cost for it.

Bids close Oct. 29th at midnight.

Small bonus: I am a photographer, and I am going on an expedition of sorts next weekend - to Bar Harbor, Maine, and Acadia national park. I will include a few small prints in the game box (5x7, 6x9 maybe if I get them printed in that size and they fit in the box).

Results are in! Congratulations aquilaprime!

Grr. Forgot to get a snap of the donated GG in the screenshot.

Okay, I won a couple of times on the last list, time to give something back.

I'm putting up a still-in-shrinkwrap copy of Battlelore: Call to Arms (the first major expansion). The game is brand-new, never opened - I accidentally bought another copy, so my loss is someone's gain.

The rules:

1 = 1 Entry, enter as often as you'd like. I will cover slow-as-a-pack-mule shipping anywhere in the US; otherwise $10 towards shipping anywhere else.

This lottery will end Friday, October 30th.

Update 10/30:
This Item Closed.

THIS ITEM IS CLOSED

Prize: The winner will have their pick of the following items.

Trivial Pursuit - Star Wars, Classic Edition(comes with a couple packs of ramen)
OR
A delicious selection of ramens from different countries. Minimum of 10 packages.

Condition: TP - SW The box has minor wear on corners. The game itself is in great shape. The figures are intact and the R2-D2 randomizer just needs batteries.

Ramen is still delicious and uneaten.

Shipping: Free shipping in the US. Would have to discuss international shipping with winner if there is interest.

Bidding: 1 = 1 Entry. 5 = 6 Entry

Ending Date: 10/30/2009 0:01am

Drawing Date: 10/30/2009 around noonish

p.s. ninja

Edit #1 I didn't put a drawing date. I will draw on 10/30/2009 My birthday is on the 9th so try and enter a lot then. I will feel special. Hah

Edit #2 The winner of this listing will have a choice of two prizes. There will still only be one drawing but the prize not selected will go onto next month. THE ALTERNATIVE RAMEN PRIZE(TARP)! This prize includes 7 packages of Duck Flavor Ramen(Three different Thai brands) 1 package of Neoguri Ramen, 1 Package of Shin Ramen and 1 package of my favorite Sutah Ramen. I will still include a couple packs with the Trivial Pursuit game but you can also opt for the ramen box. I will likely add another type or two into the TARP after my trip to the asian grocers this weekend.

Edit #3 Well I cleaned up the post and put it in a better format. I removed the bit about hoping to get enough GG to buy the ramen badge because the creator himself gave me one! Talk about an awesome guy. Now if only the creator of the Spicy badge could show up.... I also added draw date info.

Edit #4 Ok! Today is my birthday. I have turned 30. Lets see some interest in the ramen. I have stopped kidding myself. Nobody is interested in this game. But if the lucky winner does choose the game I will be shocked. I know I would take the ramen. It is awesome. But back to my birthday...enter enter enter!!!

EDIT #5 Surprise! We have a winner.
