Hm, tough coice. I'll be going to Essen and there is a whole lot of games I really would like to get. But the very next one....
So, I'll be entering from the middle entrance, right into Hall 5, scoot to the left, right past Splotter Spellen and end up stuck between Histogames (I will check out Maria) and Warfrog (I definitly want God's Playground).
So I'll end up with a new 3-Player Game, hopefully signed by Martin Wallace, as my very next purchase.

I have a $20 gift certificate for my FLGS burning in my wallet and I had a list of games that I've been thinking about getting. Since my main gaming partner is my fiancé, I had to make sure that she would be willing to play many rounds of my next purchase.

Just last weekend, we went to the store and demoed Dominion, Zooloretto, and Finca. She likes Dominion a lot, as do I. Heeding the wise words of BGG-hood, I decided to get Intrigue instead of the base game. Hopefully it will all work out in the end

My favourite Shakespeare play.
Loved Hammer of the Scots.
Still own 1ed Kingmaker (but haven't played for years).
Loved the McKellen film version of the play.

"Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son of York."

Well, Here I am on Page 4, maybe even Page 5, eagerly hoping that someone will come along and make 75 new profiles because they're so excited about my choice of game they think I need that many thumbs. It's not much of a hope, but it's something, right?
At any rate this is probably the game I'm currently most excited about. It looks like it's quick and fun, a little bit of strategy(though mainly it seems to be "Should I get more treasure? Nah. OK, yeah, I'll get more treasure) and lots of dice rolling and... well, look at that boulder! It doesn't look like a particularly deep game, but I'm not a particularly deep kind of guy.

I am looking forward to the November release of this one in its new deluxe mounted map version. I think it's great that a talented BGG member like Guillame Ries has had work recognised and been commissioned to redesign the board. If this starts a trend, I'm wholeheartedly in support of it.

Plus, it's a top game to boot!

I played this game for the first time on Saturday, and I want it now. The game play is excellent, very simple, and the strategy can get more complex. I enjoy pick up and deliver games, and this had that sort of feel, except you did not spend time delivering, which was a nice change of pace. Another plus for this game is Fruit Meeples!

I just downloaded this.

it looks like that something unique.. the only game of its type.. a flexible age of sail campaign game with that crucial detail.. a abstract resolution system when you can play out all the combats each turn any system that can provide richness without overwhelming the players AND the GM is a winner.. this looks like it.

NPC fleet management looks good. randoms are fun but I think I'll add in a few home-brew ones as well.

there is an Indian and European campaign included and a free carribbean campaign for download; but we will play the included 5 player generic campaign.

weŕe going to use langtons Napoleonic naval fast play for resolution but you could us any system really not just the sister game fire as she bears.

PS thanks for this comp.. hope I have some luck.. I have a great idea for an Imperium avatar/animated gif youll just have to vote for me to find out!

My buddy has bought Space Hulk for his son for Christmas, so that one is covered. I am scheduling a Through the Ages: A Story of Civilization game at my FLGS. So if I buy and play Twilight Struggle, I will have played all top 11 BGG games in my first year as a member.

I've been lucky enough to have some success this year starting my first local gaming group. Obviously Dominion is a mainstay, and our general reaction when someone walks in saying, "Dominion? Is that any good?" is to offer an incredulous, "WHAAAT?!" and ten cards.

So I'll be first in line to buy this new expansion and immediately put it up as a prize for a group-wide Dominion tournament. Between my base copy, Intrigue and my friends' copies we can support 16 people. Any suggestions as to a tournament format?

It's been a while since I really invested in a game (Arkham aside), and after seeing the massive, MASSIVE improvement made to Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game by its expansions and extra bits it seems that getting all of the expansions for aToE is a logical choice.

The only problem is that I'm a bit of an OC and I need everything. This is proving difficult as very little is available for a reasonable price in the UK- it looks like I'm going to have to save up the best part of £100 and get it all at once from Flying Frogs official site- this way I'll (in theory) save some cash... Assuming I can save up nearly £100 without spending it first... goo

Acquire is the game that got me on the road to being a board game geek. Now I have 108 games/expansions. I love board games...but this year I just have not had the time to enjoy this hobby. We sold a house and bought a house. We adopted a beautiful little girl, who is now 10 weeks old. And on top of that little one, we also have a 23 month old girl. So with 2 little girls, a wife, a dog, and a cat, my time is almost all spoken for. I would love to have an avatar to help my geekiness feel...well...more geeky.
