As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love. You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. -- Jesus Christ
This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48522
RPG Thrift List This list and all future thrift find lists are officially closed to RPG items. There is a new, monthly RPG only list, which can be found here: http://rpg.geekdo.com/geeklist/48560

More from DI, $2. Box was in great shape. Took a peak and it looked like there were lots of nice bits inside. I have not done a full inventory yet, but it looks like it is missing most of the cards, and probably a few other bits. However, the bonus in this game was an unopened set of paint brushes for miniature detail work, worth at least the $2 I paid for the game.
Another bagged copy! This time without the board or instructions. The kids nabbed the minis and I, well, I have taken the dice. I now have a set of 24 of these printed dice, and have to decide which game to make with them. If anyone is interested in the board or the flattened out dice boards, feel free to ask for them. I know we are not going to play this. 97 cents from the Missouri council for the Blind that used to be.
The box is the version pictured but inside their were two boards and mostly duplication of just about everything but the lead pipe. Both versions are well played. One set of cards has the orange/red backs with the fingerprint and the other is black & white with the magnifying glass. This was part of a tape bundle from Value World for 63 cents. I now have even more spare parts available.
This was the highlight of this tape bundle from Value World for 63 cents. I loved this game as a kid especially if some superstar I disliked got stuck with a low value. This one cleary does not have all original cards as the cards are from several different sets. Pick of the litter for me is a Wesley Walker of the Jets card as he played for my high school just before my Freshman year there. Go Carson Colts! The box has shelfwear as well as markings, tape removal damage and more.
I picked this up at Value World for $1.91. It is uninventoried but since I have one from awhile ago and another to list later I should have a complete one amongst them. None have been tested see if they are working.
I was also at Ludo Outaouais, and a regular (some would say obsessive/compulsive, and they wouldn't be far off) visitor to the area where games were being sold. I'm gonna list my finds alphabetically - settle in, it might be a while. All of them were bargains for me, though some were more clearly more of a bargain than others.
First off, a well-rated Ystari game for $30.00. Perfect condition.
$235.00 spent, partly financed by the sale of my own games.
