This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48522

I usually do not thrift Scrabble. Today I saw a nice turntable edition in the box for $2.99. As I went over to grab it a quick older lady snagged it. First time I have ever been beaten to a find So as a colsolation prize I took this nice complete bookcase edition. $2.99 at GW
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love. You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. -- Jesus Christ
I had a pretty rough day at work today. I stopped at my favorite thrift store looking for a pick-me-up, and it didn't dissapoint. I found it in the exact same spot I found Epic Duels yesterday, so I eagerly opened it, hoping that maybe the missing minis would be mixed in here. No such luck. Appears complete, I'll sort it this weekend. Box looks like it got wet and dried out, but no smell. $2.00.
for this game. I really can't afford to keep too many games right now, but I this one may be a keeper, at least for a play or two. I've heard good things from the GIPF series but never played one. I see the rating is very respectable, any thoughts or comments on this one?
Picked up a box of about 250 7th Sea cards & a folder of Star Wars CCG cards that I'll be combining with another lot later (huge box of SW CCG)
There are 2 Starter deck boxes, Black Sails which had 65 cards & rulebook, and Broadsides which had 63 cards & rulebook. Plus another 115 loose cards (no telling if they are from other starter decks or booster packs)
$12.00 - 1st edition Twilight Imperium @ FLGS auction
Ok this gave me a headache. There were 3 rulebooks for expansions(Borderlands, Distant Suns, and The Outer Rims) but there is no way all components of the 3 expansions and the base game are present.
Here's my attempt at the breakdown:
52 (unpunched, though a few are loose) hexagon map board pieces (base game) Galactic Progression Chart (base game) Price/Unit Data Chart (base game) 2 (476 total) unpunched counters sheets (base game) Sol player chart (base game) Xxcha player chart (base game) Jolnar player chart (base game) Letnev player chart (base game) Hacan player chart (base game) N'Orr player chart (base game) 4 page background booklet (base game) 20 political cards (base game, though some expansions came with additonal political cards, so I can't be certain all 20 are from the base game, but I'd guess so) 76 action cards (again, 76 came with the base game so I assume these are them, but some expansions came with additional action cards)
13 hexagon map board pieces (clearly marked as the Outer Rim expansion) Naala player chart (Outer Rim expansion) L1z1X player chart (Outer Rim expansion)
Position chart (Distant Suns expansion) Empire's End Progression chart (Distant Suns expansion)
229 punched counters in a plastic counter tray (no telling which expansion these are from - I did see a few 'Elite' counters and number counters which are from the Borderlands expansion)
It looks like it's an unplayed, complete base game with an assortment of counters, charts, and rulebooks from the expansions.
