3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

Congratulations on being Geek of the Week. What a generous way to celebrate it.

Should I be the winner of your giveaway, El Grande would be my first pick. It's a classic, it's been on my list for some time, and you rate it a d10-1d10-0. So what better choice is there?

Should I be runner up, another one of your 10s would be cool to play with my wife: Pandemic. She likes the cooperative type games and likes watching all those medical dramas on TV, so she might like this one.

Congrats again!

Why? Because my wife and I really enjoy playing Memoir 44 together. She sometimes wishes she had more freedom to decide which units she can move on the board, rather than being constrained by cards in hand. This game seems to be of similar complexity to M44 while giving her more freedom to choose what to do. Plus I can get her used to playing with chits rather than army men. One step closer to spousal indoctrination to hex and counter wargaming. devil

2nd Choice: 2 de Mayo Just because it sounds like a really interesting game, and I just might get my wife to play it with me.

Bisikle and any expansions.

BTW,

And you are sooo lucky to have a SO that plays games. My wife plays cribbage and other card games but no board games.

Dice Town would be number 1 choice. Not because it is the game highest on my want list but because I know Christmas is not too far off and Dice Town seems like a great game to play with the in-laws. Every visit I make that foot gets farther in the door and they are all slowly becoming gamers.

I will always fondly remember the time my mother-in-law's drawing of Chewbacca turned into her husband while playing Eat Poop You Cat.

My second choice would be Dixit, since that seems like another great in-law game. The only problem is that their family has a lot of inside jokes that might make me a frequent loser of this game.

First of all, thanks for such a generous offer, and congratulations on being geek of the week...

Both my 1st and 2nd picks have to do with whether the people I play with the absolute most (my wife and 5 year old son) will like the games.

I know my wife likes Bohnanza (my 2nd pick,) and I've heard lots of good things about Lost Cities (my 1st pick.)

Again, thanks (and to reiterate...)

1st pick: LOST CITIES
2nd pick: BOHNANZA

Reasoning: I've gotten the other Descent boxed releases and this is the only one I've missed out on. I really like the look of Descent and the minis are really useful for other games as well. I currently use some for my Dungeons & Dragons game. It's really cool how they're just the right size.

Back-Up Game: The Dark Sun Creature Catalog is pretty darn cool. It'd make an excellent consolation prize and wouldn't even feel like a consolation prize.

First Game Number One: Carson City

The "Why": Solid games with a good Western theme seem hard to come by, and the American West is a theme that has attracted me for a long time running, going way back to Saturday afternoons as a little kid, watching Western movies on TV, and coming forward to a lot of the current revisionist-type Westerns. This game looks like it has Western theme in spades (to invoke a turn of phrase that I hope conjures cards, and gambling, and dusty saloons and the gamblers and gunmen who inhabit them, with a bottle of rye whisky on a rough-hewn wood table to complete the tableau, and a brass spittoon on the side for good measure). Plus, Carson City meets the awkward "good for two players/good for more" requirement that I set for my game collection.

Game Choice the Second: Battle Line

And "Why": Looking for a quick little something to challenge Lost Cities as the go-to two-player game in my house. Go Battle Line, go!

Fabulous contest -- thanks for being so generous!

Discovered it by coincidence at a friend's. Then, we played, overconfident and frivolous, we won the first mission without any scratch. Enthused, we then went on to be blasted to smithereens on the second full mission, and then ended the game. Now, I NEED to get back to the game and play it to be able to prove that we haven't lost our Karma... It's addict's withdrawal so to say...

Why?

Well, so far I have never won anything in any BGG contest and if I should win in this one I would love to get a "blind date" - a mysterious game - just anything from my wishlist.

AND THE GOOD THING IS:

Even if I don't get lucky, I will get lucky in the next upcoming BGG secret santa - I will then get a mysterious game by Christmas this year at the latest.

So, all you should wish for is a mysterious game and your dreams shall come true (somehow) ;-)

OK, you really want people to state exactly two games. Well, here are my two wishes:

1st game: Twilight Imperium: Shattered Empire
2nd game: Tichu

Still, I would prefer to receeive a surprise game...

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Agnes

(Typo edit, 2nd edit for more details on games)

Why? The leige is in desperate hour. Orcs, Dragons, Demons and the Dead make haste towards Monarch City. I have to answer the king's call!! I have to....

My 2nd Choice: Terra Prime Whats not to love about an awesome space battle. The artwork looks awesome, and the bits look interesting. It seems like a good reason to get 5 people around the table....space battle!

Why? Because who wouldn't want to be a disgusting, corrupting Chaos God and lay waste to the lands of men? Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!

Second choice: Pandemic: On the Brink looks like a terrific expansion. You could even say it's ... totally sick!

I would really enjoy getting this game. I am searching for good games to play with my family who are not really into gaming (yet). I have had some successes and they are coming my way but not fast enough! I watched Tom Vasel's review of this and it seems like a very entertaining game that could really draw them in. The ability to pick different modules would be a huge plus and the game seems accessible while still offering interesting and tough decisions.

Second choice: High Society. I want some more good fillers and this one seems like it would fit the bill.

Thanks Raiko!
