3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

Thank you so much for your generosity!

First choice: Space Alert, because my family enjoys playing games that encourage people to work together and pump up the adrenaline. I play most of my games with my family, so this would make a great addition. (I'd love to get Wok Star, but I understand it's rare due to limited print runs.)

Second choice: Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation (Deluxe Edition), because we enjoy the LotR series, plus my 10-year-old son and I play many 2-player games, and he likes fantasy themes.

Blessings.

The game is an awesome blend of build and use... THe rush to build with random drawing of bits, the race to be first...

and then you have to survive the trip with whatever you wound up with.

Just awesome!
The bits are lovely, too.

And my oldest can and will play it.

Second game:
Indonesia I played this at DenaliCon. It was awesome. Lots of really good decision making, fairly deterministic, but with JUST enough randomness for fun.

And it teaches some great Econ lessons... which would be great in the classroom, and great at home.

And in either case, you'd have just enough time for me to get it on my birthday, 16 sep.

First off thanks for this and congrats!

Why? Well the Adventurers has been on my wishlist for a while now and looks to be a sure hit with my more casual gaming friends and family.

The second game - The Castle of the Devil - As it looks to be a great alternative to games such as Bang! and Shadow Hunters both games which my friends and I really enjoy.

MY FIRST CHOICE (IN SONNET FORM)

A battle between Lannister and Stark
Would suit my needs and so fulfill my dreams;
Against wargamers I would make my mark
With seven thousand little figurines.
G.R.R. Martin's books, they have been culled
into many a very decent game,
But never yet for battles tactical;
In this regard they're sadly all the same.
I thrill to think of knights abreast in line,
Northmen shouting bold, "Winter is coming!"
Or Lannisters who cleverly design
Their way to vict'ries most unbecoming.
And so to this poem I hope you'll hark
For battle between Lannister and Stark.

MY SECOND CHOICE (ALSO IN SONNET FORM)

A game with camels is a finer game;
This is always true, indeed unvaried.
With camels present, no one can complain!
That's the charm of friendly dromedaries.
I've hidden goods outside of Tombouctou,
And dealt in the markets of Yspahan.
In desert and Oasis, I went Through;
In Catan, I traded with the best of 'em.
But Samarkand? I haven't yet been out,
And can't afford the planefare or hotel;
So wooden Bactrians are my redoubt
My true belief is that they'll do this well.
In conclusion: camels! They're quite ripping!
(I can save you money on the shipping.)

Why: Because my daughter is just getting into games and I haven't really catered to her. Not just from the number of votes on this list, but also because of other reading I've done about this game it would make a great gateway game for my eldest to begin with. Finally if my children are playing it then their aunts, uncles and Grandparents will play it with them (they are the oldest in our extended family) which will provide great ways of getting the rest of my family into gaming.

The Second Game Hey, That's My Fish! For the same reason above.

Thanks, it´s amazing how generous you are!! thumbsup

My first choice would be Carson City beacuse of severeal reasons.
First I´m weak for Western themes, perhaps that´s beacuse my parents took me too High Chapparal which is a swedish Western Park, for several years then I was a litle cub).
The second reason is that I love meeples and in the game there is a lot of westernmeeples

The third reason is that the game looks like a lot of fun to play.
The last reason is that I have hard time getting my hand on it here in Sweden.

For my second choice I would love to have Summoner Wars

The reason for this is that the second theme I love is fantasy and for this I must blame Tolkien and his books . It all started when I was a 13 year old cub and read the books. I even remembered crying in one part of the book. After that I started playing roleplaying games and after that Warhammer Fantasy which eventually led me to boardgame and the geek I´m now cool
Another reason for wanting this game is that it´s mostly a card game with a small board (if you even can call it a board) and card games has grown on me more and more.
The third reason is that it look stunning.

Thanks again for doing this thumbsup

Why? Because I'm a sucker for Civilisation games of any sort, and this one looks to be one of the best (and one that you don't have to spend a whole weekend on)

Second pick: Race for the Galaxy

Thanks for running this!

My regular gaming group is moving towards lighter games as we meet on Wednesday nights and some of us start wor early in the morning. I've always been a huge fan of Winner's Circle with all of the (un)helpful suggestions for the current player. I really like the sound of this reimplmentation of the sam mechanic and would love to give it a go. It also has a really cool board when the ship actually slides through the board. Not only would this game be good with my regular gaming friends but it would also be great for the non-gamers I know.

As a second choice I'd have to go for Jaipur as I also play a lot of games with my girlfriend (or will do again in a couple of weeks when she finally completes her PhD thesis) and this is recieving very good reviews.

Why? Because size realy matters! No, no, no... I am talking about the playing time, you naughty ones.
It's quick and satisfying, in pure pleasure. I love this game!

My Second choice is
Vikings

P.S.
Nicely done for the whole concept, Raiko.

Thanks Raiko!
This is very generous of you! thumbsup

I would like to have Founding Fathers because it looks like a great game and my whole family can play.

My 2nd choice would be Settlers of Catan: the Card Game because I've been looking at it for a while and it would be a way that my wife and I could play a 2-player Catan game.

Thank you for your generous offer! Here are my games:

Game 1 Memoir '44.
I live in China, with a reasonable number of Euro games and quite a few wargames. Although, fortunately, I can play Euro games with my wife and a couple of friends, I have no opponents for my lovely wargames I'd love to be able to play Combat Commander (which I have) with my mate Dave, but it's just a step too far at the moment. I'm really hoping that Memoir '44 would be a great introduction for him as a light card-driven wargame that might tempt him to play something a little more juicy in the future . So that's what I'd chose first!

Game 2 Campaign Manager 2008

I love Twilight Struggle, but my wife doesn't. Whilst visiting friends in the UK I had a chance to play CM2008 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though it's very different to TS, I'm pretty sure my wife would enjoy this two-player card-based game, and that's why I've chosen it!

Thanks

Jon
