3rd. Price: Bonus winner

Well, this one was the hardest one for me. I had 13 entries chosen and I had this secret thing in my mind I used to search for the third winner.
I looked for three things:
1) Congrats to me and Agnes
2) Correct entry
3) Great reasoning or story

I had some trouble of deciding here, because there were so many good ones, so I was able to choose 3 best ones and from them I randomly draw the winner. I'm sorry, I'm weak, I wish I could give you all something great.

So, the winner:

As for the price, I thought here many things, but this one is like the third price, so I will make it 15$ game winner choosing, so choose well.

I hope there is no hard feelings from all the rest participants.
I can tell you that this is not my last give away, so be on the alert.

I hope all the winner now can help me to get their games as cheap as possible, somewhere near them would be best.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING PART IN THIS!

Hello, hello to all.

I wasn't planning to give away any games again any time soon, because I just had one give away after I got the Love Spreader award, but now I got another award - Geek Of The Week.
And to celebrate this I decided to give away 3 games to random user here on BGG.

Las time I had 5 items I chose random, but this I thought we could do something little more different. These games I offered last time might not be what you want, so this time we do the following:

First you could thumb this list to keep this on the first page as long as possible.
Then you add here geek list item with the name of the game you wish to have. Only rule is that the game should cost less than 60$ (because I will pay the shipping too). Then write short about why you want this game. This might be just few words, but I would love to read them all. And to the end add a second game you would like, if for some reason your first choice wasn't picked as winner. I will make the first item as example for you all anyways.
The second game you add should be valued less than 30$ (again, I will pay for shipping)

Drawing: I will draw this item on the 5th of September, because this is Agnes's birthday (user LilyGirl). Drawing will be easy - use random number generator to pick two users.
1st. winner will get the game he/she listed as item.
2nd. winner will get the game he/she wrote as second choice.

Bonuses: This wouldn't be as fun without bonuses. Same bonus as last time - for every 0.5 tip to this geek list you will be added to the draw one additional time.

Bonus 2:
Who will write me best reason/story/words why he/she wants the main listed game and for some reason don't win, will get something special from me. Maybe something off her/his wish list as third winner.

Things to remember:

1. Recommend this list.
2. Add item with game in 60$ dollars, write short reason and then add second game under 30$
3. You can get additional bonus for 0.5 for tipping the list.
4. Check back with the list around 5th of September, Agnes's birthday.

Good luck.

PS! Edit: Everyone check your entries. Check that games are cheaper than the numbers I wrote before. If it is more expensive, I hope you have solution written there (like you are willing to pay for shipping), because I will not accept the offer to pay the difference to me, because the shipping is more expensive for larger and more expensive games. You can offer to pay for shipping.
Also check that you have selected only one game for 60 and 30 dollars, so total of 2 games. I will not accept a list of games to choose from. Choose now or later I will draw your name and you have there a large number of games, I will draw another winner.
Also everyone who has entered their wishes as comments, make them as geeklist items as well.
Drawing will be later today, Sunday the 5th...

First Choice: Hansa Teutonica New Z-Man Version

This is an easy choice for me, because Hansa Teutonica has been at the top of my wishlist since 2 minutes after I finished my first game of it. It is an uniquely great game among many other "good enough" euros. It stands out immediately amongst the crowd. I instantly loved the strategic planning, the difficult decisions and most of all the ability to kick your opponent off of their space. Genius!

Unfortunately, this little gem wasn't expected to be the huge sleeper hit that it became. Therefore, production was low and foreign copies were hard to find. Here and there copies would pop up, but they were expensive and out of reach for me. Consequently, I've been dying to get my hands on a copy for myself.

I'm looking forward to Z-Man making this more available to the masses, because it really is that good of a game. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend.

Second Choice: Finca

My second choice was more difficult because there are many medium sized well priced games that I would find enjoyment in owning. I ended up settling on Finca, because I think the game is stunningly beautiful with its board and fruit components, and it should make a nice gateway into more difficult games for non-gamers. I'm always on the look out for how to introduce more people into this awesome hobby of ours. Gotta love games!

I am deeply fascinated with Greek history, and have read several books about the Peloponnesian War. Hellenes seems to be the best game on the market for playing out the battles of this war, and I think it would be fun to face some of the strategic choices that the Athenians and Spartans had to make when fighting out this war!

My second choice would be Glen More, simply because it intrigues me and should be worth 5-10 plays.

(This was War of the Ring, but apparently it is out of print.)

1st Choice

EL GRANDE! Because I once hiked across Spain (see überbadge) with a couple of guys who looks just like the fellows on the box cover. However, I haven't heard from them in a while, so I fear they may have become trapped inside the game like some kind of bizarre Euro-Jumanji. I expect if I bring the box into my local "specialist" I can determine if this is really the case.

2nd Choice

Puerto Rico
Because it's under 30 bucks on amazon and I've never played it. I'm afraid the game police are going to come knocking any minute now.

Also, don't worry. These packages won't be as pricey to ship as my flag suggests.

Very generous offer from you Raiko, and congratulations on being the Geek of the Week! It was certainly deserved. On to my wishlist:

1. First pick would be Small World - I'm pretty sure it would be a big hit among my circle of friends. We love to occasionally play Risk, of all things, and I'm hoping that this could be a very nice replacement that plays much quicker.

2. Second pick shall be Forbidden Island then - I hear it's fun, and cheap, and I would love to give it a try with my family - but oddly it's nowhere to be found around here (at least not yet)! Perhaps on the other side of the gulf, eh? Worth a shot anyway... Thanks again and congratulations to the lucky winners!

Why? Last week our regional gaming group in Rauma organized a small convention. One of our guests brought Brass with him that day. Many of us had long wanted to play it but unfortunately other events took too long and we never had a chance to try it. So, I borrowed it from the owner promising to send it back in a few weeks.

Now we have tried the game and everybody just loves it. I can't even remember the last time when a game has stirred up so much emotion among us. It is just too sad I have to send the game back to its owner all too soon. This is why Brass is my choice number one. Our gaming group is about to become Bra(ss)less and the whole idea drives me crazy.

Number 2 pick is Memoir '44: Campaign Book Volume 1 because it's another thing we here in Rauma have been drooling after for a loooong time. Memoir '44 and BattleLore campaigns are running on a regular basis. At the moment we still have some scenarios to play before new ones are needed but that day is already lurking behind the corner. Hence, this book would make an ideal 2nd choice. And just like the first pick (Brass), this one would be immensely enjoyed not only by me but all the other Rauma geeks also.

WHY: I am about halfway through "Game of Thrones" and I am INTO IT! I really like the Command and Colors system, but Memoir '44 just doesn't do it for me. Sometimes the command cards are more frustrating than they are a thematic embelishment. It seems as though Westeros thins out the dependence on a good hand of cards with command points, but keeps most of Richard Borgs simplicity in tact. Coupled with the theme, I will own this game. However, if I win it I am a lot less likely to get the stink eye from the wife. I see it online for less than $60 at most retailers, so I hope you aren't holding your price requirement to the MSRP

SECOND CHOICE: Ticket to Ride: USA 1910 because this game gets quite a few plays every year when family visits. I love it, but the destination cards start to get a little old after repeated play. I'd love to freshen it up and bring life back into this gateway classic.

Thanks for the contest and congrats on GotW!!!!!!

Wow, this is just great. I'm fairly new to this site, but I have to say that this must have the nicest people ever.

1. El Grande
My first choice is El Grande. I don't have a huge collection of games and it was really hard to name just one I would like to have. I really want something different from games I already have and I have thought about getting this one. So here it is. Oh, and I've heard it's a great game too.

2. Pandemic
I've been keeping my eyes on this one as well. This is also something very different comparing to games I already have. I'm fairly sure I would enjoy this one and get others excited about it too.

And the reason why I should win one of these games? So that I could have more games to play. As I said my collection is small and it would be nice to have a new addition to it. And as a student money is short. Then again it's not about the size, but the quality and how you use it, you say. Yes it's true sir, but adding one of these games in my collection surely rises the quality of it and also makes it more varied so it can be used in many more situations. Convinced?
(Oh, I so knew it. Well at least I tried.)

Edit: Happy birthday Agnes!
Depending where you look, these should be under the prices you set but if they're not I'm more than willing to pay for any differences.

1st Choice: I was trying to choose between Battles of Westeros and Hour of Glory: Stronghold Kit. BoW - because I love M44 and BattleLore, and it sounds like BoW is an improvement on BL. HoG - because I need a good solo play game for when I can't get a gaming partner and I have a real bad gaming itch. Added to that it sounds like it plays well with more players too! In the end the price of BoW and the Solo play option of HoG swung my choice.

2nd Choice: Shadows over Camelot: Merlin's Company I still love Shadows over Camelot, it's become a bit of a family Christmas regular and this expansion should keep the game visiting the table in future.

Thanks for the giveaway. I also visited your profile and found myself reading it all. Very interesting read, especially as it is a lengthy piece of writing from someone whom English is not their first language.

I choose Dominion as my first choice. I am fairly new to gaming and I am in the process of converting my 2 boys from video games to board games. Why: it's one of those games that my wife loves to play as well

I have played this a couple of times and it always resulted in a fun evening with friends. Our playing group can really get into this game resulting in shouting matches, crashes to stop someone, victory dances, ...

Plain fun.

2. Zombie in my pocket

Why: Jeremiah first created ZimP as a PnP game which has several spin offs now. Fun game but solitary. The commercial version allows for multiple players and it adds a few new elements. Plus I love all zombie games (just check my collection).

Conflict of Heroes: Storms of Steel! – Kursk 1943 is my first choice. I like Axis and Allies but it takes a long time to play so it doesn't get to the table very often. I've played Memoir44 but that didn't satisfy the WWII itch for me. I think this game should be a good fit. Not too long but more involved then M44.

Innovation would be my second choice. I just started playing Glory to Rome and I love it. Innovation sounds like it is different but just as interesting with many different strategies that can be employeed.
Both of these games are medium weight which will work well with my gaming group so I should be able to get a lot of table time for them.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Descent is my first pick. I love playing games with my dad, and I don't have a really "epic" game, or a fantasy themed game. This just looks awesome.

My #2 would be Dominion: Prosperity (preorder, of course.) I have all the Dominion expansions so far, and this looks like the best one yet.

Thanks for your incredible generosity. I'm glad to pay for shipping.

I love all the works by J.R.R. Tolkien and I'm huge fan of Lord of the Rings trilogy, that's why I have most of the games from the Middle-earth. As I say, nearly all of them - but one. And after buying WotR: Collector edition, it seems that I'll have to wait to purchase another one unless some good soul will help me to get it ;o)

DIXIT is surely my second pick. My wife loves it, many of mine not-so-much-boardgamers like this game a lot.

Wow. When I first saw this list, I thought you were giving away a game from your collection. Actually buying and giving away a game is very cool. I just wish I was more active in the BGG community (rather than being a chronic lurker) so I wouldn't feel so bad by taking advantage of this contest.

However, it's too good an opportunity to pass up.

Why Arkham Horror? I love the theme, and the game looks super fun to play with my family. Also... how I've gone this long without getting a copy feels like an utter failure on my part.

Second Pick: Ascension: Chronicles of the God Slayer. This game would be my number 1 pick, but I couldn't find an appropriately priced second game, and ultimately I'd be happy with either.

Hey,
What a cool thing to do . I'd have to say RAF: The Battle of Britain 1940is my pick. My second would be Space Hulk: Death Angel – The Card Game.

Teine võimalus on Kosmilise Encounter: Kosmilise Incursion Expansion.

Cosmic Encounter: Cosmic Incursion

Hi, and thanks for this!

My first choice would be Middle-earth Quest. I would love to have a game that really captures the feel of the Lord of the Rings like this one seems to.

My second choice has to be Forbidden Island just so that I have another game to play with my little girls (ages 8,5,2,and one on the way).
