What is the total number of games listed (counting separately each time a person lists a game)? I'm wondering whether it's branching out or just playing more games.

It's only 2+ hours with 5 players - with 2 or 3 players who know what they're doing you can get a game done in little over an hour (or even under), including setup.

To be fair, you could play it 5 times in less time than it takes someone to play Agricola once.

That and it's really fast to play. You can play it in 10 minutes.

Ooo, I would play it more that way. Not -much- more, but more.

But that brings up a question - say that I play a lot of 18xx, but count them separately, and play three different games 5 times. Do you then count me as 10 plays of 18xx?

And if I play three different games 4 times - do I then not show up?

Yes, there's really someone out there who has played this classic (from 1980!) 5 times in the last year.

Wait until 2011, and I bet you will see several more people with 5+ plays of this game. I just played it for the first time last week, and I can see myself playing it several more in the coming months.

I think what we have here is not a bad/good game. But instead a bad game FOR YOU.

It is not that the mechanics are broken per se. You just don't like how they work.
I have many games that fall into this category for me.
One example is Brass. I started watching a rather well done how to play video on it and I couldn't even finish the video. The game sounds dreadfully boring and I would rather sit in a hospital waiting room hold the bandages to my wrists I just cut from having to play game.

Now... that is my opinion. The game itself seems fine. Just dreadful to me.
