US - RPG Chain of Generosity

I wish to provide legendary service to the RPG community to help grow our hobby and enrich the lives of gamers everywhere.

This is the United States version of the RPG Chain of Generosity. There are chains running for the following other regions:
CAN - RPG Chain of Generosity European RPG - Chain of Generosity AU/NZ Chain of RPG Generosity.
(if you want to add a brand new geeklist for your region, feel free)
Have a duplicate RPG item you wouldn't mind parting with? Want to give a cool RPG item to someone who wants/needs it? Then you're a perfect candidate for the RPG Chain of Generosity! Pioneered on the BoardGame side back in 2007, the Chain of Generosity concept is simple.
The official rules:
1. You must comment to the item in question indicating you wish to be in the drawing to receive it in order to be eligible to win.
2. If you win one, you MUST post an item of your own to give away in this fashion. If you don't like that idea, don't play. Please do not wait until you receive your win before offering a game of your own - its all about generosity.
3. Set a deadline of around 7 to 14 days for your item. State your deadline clearly when you offer the item up and stick to the deadline. One exception: if only one person has expressed interest in your item, you may extend the deadline up to 5 additional days. Stick to this second deadline (even one person who wants the item and will appreciate it will keep the chain alive).
4. Use the Geek Randomizer or some other fair method to draw a winner from those interested. You can use the 1customX{...} die roller to pick a name. For example, if three people (Tom, Dick and Harry) are interested in your item you can edit your post and insert a ROLL and use: 1custom3{Tom;Dick;Harry} to pick a winner.
5. In the unlikely event that no offers are made on your item within the deadline, add a sweetner to the offer. If even one person has expressed interest, you must honor that - do not replace the item if someone has expressed interest.
6. At this time, we are not allowing new chains to form. 8 Chains is a good number - we'll run with this for a while. If you have an item you want to give away as part of the chain of generosity, put yourself in an existing chain and if you win, you can extend the chain by offering your item(s) up. The idea is to keep existing chains going as long as possible!
7. Sender pays shipping, no exceptions. If you can't afford to ship do not participate (Media Mail here in the US will allow several books to ship anywhere in the US for under US$5).
Each person that lists an item (either a seed item or a continuation of an existing chain) will receive:
- RPGG +1 Chainmail of Generosity Participant
But please contact me for the chain microbadge. I find it hard to keep up with all chains at all times
Let's get the US chain going!

Chain: Oh, The Horror!
This might look a bit familiar -- I won part of this lot way back when in this chain. I picked up a lot of Chill stuff that made all these books duplicates. So they're back! Not necessarily the same copies, however. Plus I added something extra
So in addition to the core book we have:
Chill Companion
Veil of Flesh
Undead & Buried
And for a different game:
The World of Bloodshadows
We'll give this out Xmas Day.

SEED: Swords and Sorcery
CLOSED
Shadow, Sword & Spell: Basic is offered up to the masses. SS&S uses the 12 Degrees system by Rogue Games, the same system used in Colonial Gothic Rulebook (Revised). Because I use the PDFs more than the actual book, it has been sitting on my shelf since GenCon '10. I figured it was time to find a good home for the little book, so if you're interested in some swords and sorcery gaming and will actually give it a go then this one's for you.
I'll draw this one on 1.12.2012

Let's move from the fields of Glorantha to the fields of Shadowdale. Up for grabs are both the Forgotten Realms Player's Guide and Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide for the 4th edition D&D RPG. These are in like new condition.
As an added bonus I will throw in copies of the two limited edition Gamma World cards (Dehydrated Man & Power Mimic) given out at the GW Game Day.
This chain is open to anyone in the EU as well as the US since I'll be shipping them from Germany. Winner is responsible for any import duties, though I doubt there will be any. I'll use a Geekroll to determine the winner on January 6th, 2012.

Chain: Helm's Deep
What I'm offering for all you fine ladies and gentlemen is a nice selection of Pathfinder adventures and a couple of supplements on one of the most interesting (to me) areas in all of Golarion - Falcon's Hollow.
While the selection of books isn't really a progressive series of adventures, it would be quite easy to make it function that way - which was why I'd gotten them all.
So, here's what you'll be getting should you win:
D0: Hollow's Last Hope - For 4 1st level characters D1: Crown of the Kobold King - For 4 2nd level characters D1.5: Revenge of the Kobold King - For 4 5th level characters E1: Carnival of Tears - For 4 5th level characters D4: Hungry Are the Dead - For 4 6th level characters Guide to Darkmoon Vale - Supplement about the area in and around Falcon's Hollow Andoran, Spirit of Liberty - Supplement about the country Falcon's Hollow is in
All the books are in good shape except for Hollow's Last Hope which is a color print out I did of the free PDF. It's in a clean binder in sheet protectors.
The drawing for all this will take place Saturday, 1/21/12.
Good luck!
AND THE WINNER IS!?!?! 1custom12{wavemotion;PghArch;vestige;personwholives;tutunaku;MarkMeredith11;apostrophe;MJ Harnish;ealdrich;sdonohue;Einroy;Dog Boy} -> ( Einroy) -> Einroy

Chain: Star Siege
So, who remembers the last time I won something, I said I'd be offering something very similar the next time I won? Well, here it is.
I find it hard to match the generosity of what I'll be receiving, but I can provide something else which is out of print: some 7th sea goodness!
Once again for offer is a rather quirky (read: without cover) players copy of the players guide for 7th sea. Having compared it to an intact copy, I have confirmed that it has all the pages, just no cover. I got it that way. But that's not all you get! You'll also get: 7th Sea Compendium Scoundrel's Folly
These books are still uncommon and out of print. These are classic 7th sea, not d20. Be prepared to get into some swashbuckling fun when you win this set!
Now, maybe you're thinking "I don't want any 7th sea. Ninjas are way better than pirates anyway. Screw all that swash, and I don't even own a buckle for it anyway." Well, in that case, this next part is, at least partially, for you.
Instead of taking home a package of 7th sea books, how about some miniatures, terrain, and other goodies? What kind, you ask? Hex terrain and miniatures from Heroscape Master Set: Rise of the Valkyrie and Heroscape Expansion Set: Fortress of the Archkyrie. I'll even include rulebooks, wound markers, order markers, dice and army cards to go with it, giving you a complete copy of the board game and expansion. This is a great game, that also works quite well as terrain for GURPS games. That is 35 figures and over 100 pieces of plastic hexagon shaped terrain, perfect for waging those key battles in your weekly sessions. Once again, however, there are no original boxes included, as I am sadly without boxes for them.
Why? Well, once again, I simply have too many master sets, and not enough space. My roommate is on me to get some of them out of the house, so off they go.
Thanks to
Steve Donohue
United States Allen Park Michigan
for the amazingly generous offer above.
The short version You get a choice of: 7th sea books Heroscape Terrain and figures

CHAIN: The Blasted Heath
In the past, AD&D items have been well received on this list, so I decided to add something from that era to this chain. These things are in well-loved condition, but are complete and workable.
This lot comes complete with: 1. Dungeon Masters Guide - with yellow inside facing pages (flyleaves), pretty beat up, and was in storage for a while in a basement, but definitely usable.
2. A4: In the Dungeons of the Slave Lords - used, but complete and workable
3.The Complete Guide to Roleplaying Games - by Rick Swan, copyright 1990 (not in the system)
4. DMGR3: Arms and Equipment Guide - in good shape, but the spine glue failed and the cover (front and back) has separated from the bound pages
5. Players Handbook - with text inserted into cover upside down and backwards (see pic below), white facing pages (flyleaves)
This is what it looks like if you open the cover in the correct orientation; you see the last page upside down. I believe several of these were sold over the years, regardless of the printing error. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong there.
I will probably do the drawing after the craziness of running the Mountains of Madness subsides... that is, sometime on the 20th of Jan.
edited to correct numbering.

3. Ultimate Character Concepts - Very Good condition, full sized hardback book for players and GMs who want to explore character concepts (published by Mongoose Publishing in 2004)
4. Ultimate Divine Spellbook - Very Good condition, full sized hardback book for players and GMs who want to explore divine spellcasting (published by Mongoose Publishing in 2003)

--CLOSED!!--
Chain: Save vs. Death
Hi everyone! Sorry about dropping the ball on this for so long. I am going to go over the top in an attempt to make up for my lameness.
So this is for the D&D 4E Monster Vault for Essentials. This has a metric crapton of little monster pogs (one side normal, one side "bloodied"). It also comes with the Monster Vault book, which has 4E stats, background, etc. for a wide variety of Monsters reflected in the pogs. ALSO it comes with a 32-page adventure, complete with maps!
All those pogs are awesome even if you do not play 4E, because they are basically an entire army of creatures and beasties for a fantasy RPG. Like miniatures but cheap (in this case, free!) and with great art instead of having to paint them! Yeah, they'd 2-D, but that's what imagination is for.
Wait, are you saying that's not good enough? I'll have to do better than that?
OKAY! I'll also throw in:
The starter set for 4E! Content-wise, it's crap, but it is a sturdy box and has that classic Otus art! You can carry around anything in it and make it look great! Also included is all the original stuff, in case you want it. And, the cards are sleeved!
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!
The 4E Essentials DM Kit! Includes still more monster pogs, a two-part adventure plus maps, and the Dungeon Master's Book!
No? WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?!? Okay, for my final offer I'll also throw in:
The 4E Rules Compendium All paperback books will come with polyvinyl library covers to protect them. A crapton of extra pogs I got from running the Encounters program over the past two years. A crapton of status cards I got from running the Encounters program over the past two years -- now when someone is on fire, you can really rub it in by giving them a card that says "ON FIRE"!!! HA HA HA HA!!
All this for the LOW, LOW PRICE of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I'll ship anywhere in the world at my own cost.
Who's in?!
Drawing will be a week from Saturday: 21-Jan-12, via Geekroll.

If you wanted to Burn yourself Glorantha, I'm sure you can. I've read and digested these two, and while I think they're great (and have lessons for GMing embedded in them) I don't think they're going to be actively used in my RPGing going forward, so.... off to a worthy home they go.
Or, if you like a less avant-garde (but still excellent) system, you can choose instead my copy of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Roleplaying Game Core rules:
All items have been read and may have some shelf wear, but are in excellent condition.
Drawing will be on the 27th by Geekroll.

Ok, I have a spare copy of this beauty. It's "well loved", and you'll need a copy of either Melee or Advanced Melee and a copy of Wizard or Advanced Wizard to play, but those are the easy parts to find.
If I find I have any spare copies of any of those I'll add them here, but don't count on it. But as I said, this is the hardest (and most expensive) part of the main system to find.
Will resolve sometime during the Super Bowl (Feb 5, I think)

Alright I'll through something a different out. Offering up copies of both Dragonlance Miniature Reprints - Volume 1 - DL1-DL8 and Dragonlance Miniature Reprints - Volume 2 - DL9-DL16.
This is all of the original Dragonlance modules but instead of the normal module size these are printed in 4in x 3in scale. I do not have the card stock boxes just the modules.Anyways, I think they're kind of cool and maybe you will too. If not we'll do something different. Geekroll will decide the winner. Chain: Save vs. Death (New & Improved... Again!) CLOSED
Keeping the theme of the Save vs. Death chain going, we will stick to the D&D-theme. The third time's supposed to be the charm, right? So let's see if there's any interest in the following not-quite-so-easy-to-obtain Legacy of the Green Regent adventures:
LGR3: Key to Phantoms' Cloister
LGR5: Dark Exodus
LGR6: Epidemic
LGR7: Nurture and Nature
LGR8: Rat's Bastard
LGR11: Humility
LGR12: Tyranny
LGR13: Book Knowledge
LGR16: In Cold Blood

The drawing will be on Sunday, 26 February 2012 (via Geekroll).
First off, let me offer up a trio of books for D&D inclined. They are the original 3rd edition (not 3.5) core rulebook set composed of the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster Manual hardcover tomes.
All three out-of-print books have been used, but are undamaged and have been stored in a dry, smoke-free home. They are in good condition, with some cover wear and scuffing, but bindings are intact and there are no marked or damaged pages.
In addition, I have decided to throw in the following softcover d20 supplements:
Stronghold Builder's Guidebook
Dweomercraft: Familiars
Foul Locales: Urban Blight
As well as, the tie-in item to the Save vs. Death theme...
Torn Asunder: Critical Hits
(Being torn asunder is probably something a PC has to worry about after failing a save versus death roll.)
Plus, the following hardcover supplements:
Dynasties and Demagogues
Touched by the Gods
Anyway, the bonus supplements listed above are in near-pristine condition (flipped through, but never actually used in any other frequent manner), and like the core rulebooks have been stored in a dry, smoke-free home.
As this GeekList implies, these items are for participants with US mailing addresses only.
The drawing will be on Saturday, 11 February 2012 (via Geekroll).

Drawing will be on Thursday Feb 9 by the geek roller.
If there's no interest by Sunday, I'll probably add a sweetener.

CLOSED
I know we're only supposed to have 8 9 chains going, but the pace of the chains seems interminably slow to me. Since it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission (and if I'm wrong, please feel free to delete this post), and 10 is a nice round number, I thought I'd just go ahead and start a new chain and try and be EXTRA generous *cough - and I need to clear some space on my book shelf*.
So.
Up for grabs is the entire Decipher Star Trek RPG print line (I believe there were 2 pdf releases that are not included in this giveaway).
Star Trek Roleplaying Game Player's Guide
Star Trek Roleplaying Game Narrator's Guide Also included is the still-in-shrink GM screen.

I've got Dungeon Tiles! Lots of Dungeon Tiles! Too many Dungeon Tiles! So I'm offering you the chance to get some for yourself!
Up for offer is a big box of dungeon tiles. What's in it? Good question - have a look at the pictures. Lots of tiles, some random heroquest furniture, and some other random things. Great for those Pathfinder/3e/4e sessions, where you want to have an awesome map for the evenings encounters, but you don't have any artistic talent whatsoever.
Maybe you're thinking to yourself "But I don't want any dungeon tiles - I've got plenty enough as it is!" or "Dungeon Tiles. Bah! I draw all my maps by hand - with my own blood, sweat and tears to make them beautiful! I don't need no stinkin' tiles!" Well then, pay close attention to this next bit:
Instead of the Big Box o' Dungeon Tiles, you can grab some classic 7th sea books from me. Which ones? Well, the same ones I offered last time: 7th Sea Player's Guide - sans cover, but complete otherwise.
7th Sea Compendium
Scoundrel's Folly
As before, these books are out of print classics, though I've been told they're now available as PDFs somewhere on the internet.
