This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time

$1.99 at GW for the pictured edition. Haven't owned this edition with the Roman numerals before. I'd actually like to find the previous edition with the first generation of plastic pieces, as that's the one we had when I was a kid.
Holy Talisman!! I think this is a first reported thrift of this. I was a little reluctant cause I was burned once by Solomon's Temple. This game however has great looking components and isnt too bad with the game play. I admit their is an obvious resemblance to Talisman. Look forward to playing this with the fam. The Review of this on its game page says it all. $4.99 at GW. Complete.
May I pass along my congratulations for your great interdimensional breakthrough. I am sure, in the miserable annals of the Earth, you will be duly enshrined. -- Lord John Whorfin
Picked up my daughter from a playdate this evening, so of course we had to stop by the proximity GW. While I was explaining to her what the phrase mazel tov meant (she is eight and and utterly fascinated with Judaism), I almost missed this.
One of my favorite games of all time, I was quite happy to take this home.
This was $2.10 at the East Madison Savers. While I seem to play a lot of the risk variants, I usually pass on the basic version. However it was pretty complete (cards and dice, 6 trays of plastic) and I figured I could give it to a relative.
Followed up on a craigslist post for this. I'd been tracking the post when it was listed at $30 for the lot, but I waited until he dropped to $20. Perhaps I could have talked him down more, but I was happy with this. It's an extra copy, which I'll probably be sharing with a friend.
Got the Blue/Yellow Starter box, with some extra misc cards from various boosters, 3 promos, and the following...
$1.96 at the local GW today, complete and apparently played exactly once (judging by the scorepad). The pencil is even sharp! Boxtop is a little dished, but that's the only flaw. We already own SJ with expansion, but someone in our gaming group will be happy with this!
