This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I.
The Order's Anthem: Sing along with our good old thrifty theme song...
ok, ok. quit smirking. Found a nice bag with 4 sets of Memory, along with the nice holders (like the red one in the picture). Have a few Print-N-Play games I can use the cardboard squares to make, and the plastic holders are always nice as well.
99 cents for 4 sets of PnP goodness (I think one set is Barney...)
Ok, ever seen a game and thought "man, I wish Pete Belli had found this"? Honestly, never seen this one before and thought that one of my friends with little kids might enjoy a copy. Well, at least I'm one of the few elite people who own this.
My last stop was Salvation Army. When I got to the counter, I couldn't find anyone around. So, I browsed some more until a guy came out the back. He asked if this was the only thing I was getting. When I said yes, he told me that I could just have it. I asked if he was sure, and he said yes. Then he went in the back again. I guess he was the only one there, and didn't want to take the time to ring it up since it was priced $0.99.
But, being a Salvation Army store, there was a red kettle by the register, so I put a buck in it.
Looks complete, but I need to do a through inventory.
I forgot to mention, what else I found in the box.
