I'd Rather Be Playing ____ for 8 Hours

As I sit here at work, taking a break from cranking out Q1 financial reports, I'm thinking about how I'd rather be spending the day playing board games. The conditions couldn't be much better. I need to use some vacation time soon, it's raining, my wife is home today, and we even have a friend staying with us for a few days.
If you could play a game instead of being at work, which one would you choose? To make things interesting, let's say you could only choose one game, and you'd have to play it for the equivalent of a typical work day - 8 hours. (Obviously, you can play the game more than once.)

This is it for me. Two or three games in 8 hours would be sweet!

Yes, hypothetically, there are probably better choices - but, in practice, this is is the only board-game that I've actually spent 6-8 hours playing in one day. Come to think of it, I've had several such days... usually it had to do with us wanting to keep playing until we actually figured out how an apparently weaker side could win in a particular match-up.

My choice would be Magic Realm. I've played it twice recently and both times I thought the hours flew by. Runners up would be Dominant Species, Maria, and Space Hulk.

I could, and have many times, play this for a whole weekend. So much more fun than the one that everyone knows.

I might even be able to have a decent competition with this one if we played it twice! With rules explanation taking so long, and never seeming to be able to get the same players twice, this one is definitely the one I would pick. Plus it's almost like work!
This or Through the Ages that is.

8 hours is just about enough time for a good, meaty scenario, or maybe 1 date in a campaign game.

My regular sessions are limited to 4-5 hours. It would be nice to play e.g. 1830 or some other game comfortably without having to worry about whether we'll have time to finish, or have to rush into moves without thinking about the consequences.
Edit: I don't mind massively which particular game, because I have only played a few titles.

If I had 8 hours for gaming, I'd love a quick, friendly game of Titan. Might even complete it!

This game offers great variety between plays and numerous strategies to victory points. 8 hours would be 3-4 plays, which if all games were with the same set of 3-4 players, sounds like a ton of fun. It would be interesting to see how everyone would try to combat each other with each successive game and what buildings would or would not be built.

Probably this -with the caveat that it be a rainy/stormy late October day to fit the theme better. Could probably get more than one game in which is fine since the set-up is rather involved and I don't get to play it that much.

Surprised no on else has put this up yet.
Easily have spent all day games playing this system. Always a great time, always a different game.

I would go with either this or Origins: How We Became Human.
I'm not one to play one game over and over for several hours straight so I would much rather play one of the very-long games that I wouldn't normally have time to play.

This game does not hit the table as much as I would like it to. The rules are fairly simple, it just takes us a while to finish one game, so I would like 8 hours to play a few of these.

This is the only 8 hour game length I've ever played. And it's been a while. But I loved it. A lot of games on this list look great.

This is a game I'd never turn down. So far have played 5 3p games and 1 4p game, I won't mind spending 8 hours playing this... Since our average 3p game time is about 2 hours plus, I guess we can play like 3 games in a row... It is as addictive as the PC game....

And the older you get, the fewer things you really love. And by the time you get to my age, maybe it's only one or two things. With me, I think it's one.

Games with my group seem to take about 1 hour per player. A full 7-player game of this would be my ideal way of spending 8 hours.

Do I get to play with expansions?
Do I get to choose who I play with? I would happily play this for 8 hours with a nice lunch break in between.
If we could get everyone from work to play I would organise a tournament of it! Now that would be awesome!

This one is actually more like "I'd rather be setting up for 8 hours", but it's the kind of wargame you can sink your teeth into for a full day.

Setting up and tearing down the game 2 hours and 6 for playing it.
In between couple of superb drams of whisky (lets say from the island of Islay) and after Sauna to wash the sweat of war away.
That would truly be excellent day.

i do at least two 12-16 hour games days a month.
But a 24 hour one sounds epic.
In january I did a 32 hour (including 3 hours of sleep) gaming weekend with some friends. We mainly played Descent RtL - Do I need to say that it was awesome?

I'd love to be able to play games all day long once in a while, but they'd be different games so I could savor and enjoy each one. I might play a couple back to back, but that'd be it.
