This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Version as pictured. Very slight dishing on the cover and a small greese stain too... However, the contents are unpunched and the small plastic bags that came with are still round up with a rubber band. Methinks someone opened the box, saw all the little counters that needed to be punched out and put the lid back on...
Found at a rummage sale for $1.00
Like I said, I don't get the pricing. This for a buck, a kids game for 2 bucks.
Plus... Since Richard Berg will be at KublaCon later this month, I'll see if I can get him to sign it.
Second score at St. Vinnie's again $1. This is the 1995 Limited Edition, as authenticated by a"Certificate of Authenticity" packed with the game. I have #9443 of 12000. Set includes the 8 NFL playoff teams from the prior season. This also doesn't look like it ever got played.
Had a fairly decent day of thrifting...well one good stop anyway. After striking out at a Goodwill & a Rummage sale, I hit Savers & found a bunch of great stuff. Used my 30% off card and picked up a complete Pac Man in nice shape...$2.99 after discount
This crappy tie in to a relatively crappy Sat am. cartoon. Honestly the movers are literally just colored strips of cardboard! Don't even have a character printed on them!...$2 after discount complete & nice condition...
My wife picked this up at a Boot Fair and asked me what it was. I wasn't sure so I stumped up 50p to buy it. It's a TCG where you scratch off the panels and then your cards are useless! Nice. None of the cards have been scratched off, though...
Good value for the hilarious non-PC characters in the game.
Had a pretty good day, at least for me. Tomorrow I'm going to a city-wide rummage sale in Belgium (WI), that usually has a lot of stuff, although not often decent board games.
I keep seeing people pick this up for ebait, so I did too. But I don't sell on Ebay... yet. Anyone who does want to trade for this? If I'm gonna get stuck playing Life with the kid, I'd rather play a non-electronic (and non-credit card!) version.
$2. Complete, good condition, and in working order.
$2, same garage sale as the last two games. Another one I'm interested in playing with the kid eventually. I haven't counted cards, but everything looks really nice. When I opened the box it still had that "new game" smell.
I can't believe I bought a NASCAR game. I hate NASCAR. But I've heard this is a fun game. I haven't counted the cards, but the cars and dice are there. If nothing else, my inlaws would probably love this.
$3 at Goodwill. Again, I hate the subject. Like anime, loath Dragonball of any kind. But my hubby likes it. He might try it once, and then I'll see if anyone wants to trade for it. First Fantasy Flight find for me (and lots of alliteration).
Edit: Open but unpunched. Surely someone here collects DBZ stuff?
So a friend of mine gives me a call yesterday from Thrift Mart to tell me they had RotV - he asked if I wanted it for $6. Yes please
He drops it off today and the box looks good....
I slice the tape and start sliding it out... Lots of terrain nicely organized! Thats good, Ooooh lots of two hex snow pieces - That means extra figures... (keeps sliding) Bagged components - Nice! (slides out rest of box) hmmmm whats missing here? No figures.
Normally that wouldn't be a big deal (have a couple of RotV) but the cards were there and included at least 4 or 5 sets that I don't have yet Oh well terrain is good - and this has me officially overrun from the three plastic drawer system I was using - need another to expand now.
Ran to the post office today to fulfill a trade agreement. Figured what the hell, I'll hit the DAV on the way home.
There was this heroscape box staring me right in the face. I picked it up and it was heavy, packed tight with components, but it was wrapped around 3 times with tape.
$5.98, so I figured, what the hell, and brought it home.
I managed to get all that tape off with only slight box scarring. And was very pleased when I got it open. Most of the components are still in their original bags, I haven't done and proper inventory yet, I think (I've never even seen a heroscape game set up before) I got a sparkly water edition, there are several red and blue dice, and 1 d20 that I wasn't expecting, and the water tiles have glitter in them and are somewhat translucent (I can see silhouettes through them).
Now I have to give this game an honest shot and see if it's a keeper or something to put up for trade.
Edit: Final inventory, All terrain, all dice, all tokens (the button and stand ups), all cards, but 29/30 figures. I'll figure out which one it is when I try it out later.
Also at the same rummage sale was this classic 3M title for $1. My family had this when I was a kid, and I played it several times with friends. However, even then I could see it wasn't well-balanced, as there are one or two stocks that are clearly better than the others.
But now I seem to be collecting the 3M bookshelf games, so was glad to have a chance to grab this one cheaply. Especially when I saw other copies at two thrift stores later in the day, priced around $3 and $5.
Then off to a distant Value Village. For some reason this particular store has had a lot of old sports games, and today was no exception. This copy includes the NBA players from the 79-80 season, and I certainly haven't counted the cards yet but it looks very promising. Box and all components in excellent condition.
