This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time

Big Boggle may no longer be Big Bucks, but it still belongs on my shelf. Also $1, also GW, Jenison this time in case mevitale cares :-)
Picked up 4 copies of this at the Cedar Rapids B&N. $9.99 each. One to keep, one to trade and two on the "hey honey do you have a last minute present" pile. Hey, it keeps my wife happy and OK with my thrifting...most of the time.
$5 at CR HPB. Browsed around for a while...found a copy of The Game of Life: Twists & Turns. Got a little excited as I have learned from this list that this one sells OK. Picked it up, saw the price tag: $50. Put it down quickly.
So I went by my GW this evening, with some time to kill. Saw the same blue bins that had been there three hours ago, them having not been unloaded in that time. I had looked at them earlier. Nothing on the shelves, but I checked the blue bins more thoroughly. And saw this!
Opened it up to check it out after I bought it. No rules
It was only later that I realized something else was missing. Both spaceship boards...
So what I'd hoped was a minor grail find, turned into more of a fail find. Though I will find a way to make my own ship boards somehow, as it looks like everything else is there.
And with time to kill, I went up to the VV, to check out this Hang in There copy I'd seen earlier when I didn't have time to kill. Missing a ton of bits it looks like, but it does have 4 orange animals, so I'm getting closer to have a full set of animals, (and do now at least have the right numbers of them, even if the actual pictures may need a duplicate), and even more spare parts.
This cool little Mastermind version was hiding behind other stuff at the back of the shelf. Easy to miss as it is super mini, only about 5" x 2" x 1"! Haven't counted the pegs but there are a bunch in here. The bottom is a little dented though. 58 cents at MO COTB
Just the box bottom which had three balls and a full set of door cards for the Beginner/Advanced version. Even the spare parts sell on this one, although I'll check to see who has needs here first. $1.99 Maj-R thrift
$2.50 Savers a hanging bag full of these and Magic cards. I spent some time going through them and pricing, so I'll try some resell, but it really seems tedious to do that with individual cards of a game you've never played.
During the same trip to GW I found the Battleball and Complete Book of Wargames there were some 1/72nd model airplanes on the new carts just coming out from the back. There was a guy standing close by with a few in his shopping cart, on the phone spelling out the manufacturer and planes, I assume having someone on the other end look up prices. I thought "Dude, they are $1.99 and $0.99, just buy them!" So I grabbed up:
All are in great shape, Parts still in bags, decals present. I'll probably try to swing back by today to see if he put any back or if there were still some more back in the back they hadn't brought out yet.
AMVETS $3 bagged with a non-game Boost Your IQ thingy. It was 25% off day for select colors and this one was actually the right color (for once) so I ended up getting them both for $2.25. New and still sealed in the card stock & plastic display packaging.
