This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I.

Not sure it's much good for soloing with (as I do), but nice bag!
Also found in charity shop - a boxed set of old Games Workshop miniatures from the 'Chronicle' range by Nick Lund. One missing but no complaints for £2.99. And found the Bow Tie I was after for £2.99! Sorted!
This was at the same booth, i was going to pass on it, but the guy said he'd sell me feudal and this for $5 so i said why not, didn't even look in the box yet though. $2.50 The thing that convinced me to get it was that he turned to me and said " You haven't lived until you've played Quinto..................I've never played Quinto" Then he sadly walked away lol.
Then I found what appears to be a complete Aquire, unsure yet. Version Pictured for 3.99. There were a pack of weird people in front of me while i was looking at games that continued to yell out CRANIUM!!! OUIJA!!!! Neither of those games were there...
99 cents at Goodwill this morning. The box's physical shape is great, but it has a medium degree of edge and surface wear like it has been played a lot or on the shelf next to a game that has been slid in and out often.
Upon opening it I find the armies in shiny ziplocks and the boat and 48 cards here too. The cards don't look like they've seen a bit of play - not a bend, fold, or dirty finger mark anywhere. As a pile, no card stands out from the rest.
The contents even have the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" sheet of glossy paper on how to remove the Empire banners without damaging them. The game board is mark free and lies flat both folded and opened. No bad smell at all.
Thank you to the owner whomever took care of this game and to the GW employee who didn't tape the lid to the bottom as often is the case.
My first find of this one. Have always wanted to try it although I will probably end up selling. Inventory tells me I am missing the rules, one figure and one character card. Not sure about overall card count yet. $1.99 GW
I hit the double Value Village/Unique today for their 50% sale for card holders. This is the first time I've gone to this type of sale and it was acceptable - crowded but not crazy crowded like tomorrow will be. Found my first Jumpin for $1.46 among the puzzles - complete but a corner is split on the box.
Weekends at Goodwill are never calm. Way too many uncivilized, warlike children savaging the game and toy aisle. As I get older, my tolerance wears away, so I just dashed through as quickly as I could.
This was perched way up high, out of reach of most, and was decidedly difficult to retrieve. However, I persevered, and even though the box had been ravished, I didn't try to inventory it in store. Too many annoyances. I figured for $2.99, it rattled well enough.
Fortunately for me, it's more than complete. It looks like there are two sets here, as I have 2 each of the nonrandom minis and 19 others. 2 sets of maps, and THREE d20s (a surprise, since most of my thrifts are usually missing any nonstandard dice).
Quite a pleasant surprise, overall. This will be for trade.
And on the wire rack above the clothes, I found a bag full of card pages of Yu Gi Oh cards - about 425 cards for $2.42. I'm anticipating that my kids will want to play so I'm starting to build my collection early.
I generally don't list my dice pirating games now, but I need to add this version to the Yahtzee Jr page and upload my picture. It's a Pokemon Yahtzee Jr but it has a legend at the top of the box that states "Pint size game. Full size fun!" The dice are blue, not indented, and about half the size of the regular dice. So I had to pirate them. $.49.
My daughter was interested in the Pokemon theme, but I've trained her well. We played a game, and then I asked her if she wanted to keep in intact. "No," was her reply, "It's not really very interesting."
Picked this up from a Craigslist ad on Saturday for $20. Bought to flip, but man those minis are sharp, now I'm having trouble parting with it. It is opened with shelf wear, owner said it was complete but i would be surprised if they counted the minis.
Initially I was skeptical, but after checking the rating on BGG, I figured it may be worth trying it. Especially after checking out the walkie talkie gizmo and finding it working. $3.90 at Village Thrift
