Erik's Summer Cleaning Boardgame Auction
- Just call me ErikUnited States
Good morning and/or evening, everyone!Recommend
This summer, I am looking to get some extra cash, as well as clear out my inventory of games I just don't play. That being as it is, I am offering up all my unwanted games in an auction, for the likes of all of you. Here's how it works:
Each game in the geeklist is for sale, and will sell at the end of the auction in approximately two weeks (July 23, 2011). If you want one of the games in the auction, there are two ways to go about getting it, Bidding and Buy It Now.
To Bid, simply comment under the game with a dollar value you're willing to spend on the game (each game starts at 99 cents). If, later, someone outbids you, you may bid again. At the end of the two weeks, Each game's high bidder will be given a marketplace link for the game they bought, at the bid price they entered, so the game can purchase can be transacted through BGG and BGG can get their money, as well as affording the buyer and seller some recourse if things go pear shaped. Don't forget to unhide all comments so you can see, for sure, who has the high bid at any given time. Unlike eBay, as long as the bids are under the Buy It Now price, Buy It Now can still be used.
To Buy It Now, comment that you are buying the game now on the Geeklist item, then follow the marketplace link in the auction item. It will take you to the BGG Marketplace Item for that game at the Buy It Now price. Simply purchase the game through the marketplace and it's done! Buy it now goes away if the bid price eclipses the Buy It Now price.
Shipping: All buyers will pay actual USPS shipping costs for the shipping method of their choosing, wether that be Express, Priority, or Parcel Post/First Class. Many of the shipping costs may have to be estimated if you wish to have timely delivery (so I don't have to run to the post office 8 times to ship one game). In the case where I estimate shipping cost and the estimate is wrong, I will refund any extra that you paid, but if my estimate was under, I will make up the difference myself.
Shipping costs can be combined if you purchase multiple games (though if you buy-it-now and win one in auction, in order to combine them you'd have to wait till the auction is over), and local pick-up is available.
I will be happy to answer any questions about any game here. I am representing the games as faithfully as I can, using the information I have on them.
Let the bidding begin!
