This is a list dedicated to the games where things can happen that range from the dubious through the impossible to the downright ridiculous. How totally weird a scenario can you find in a game?

Most horses in the game are either flesh and blood or gadgets created by the Collegium, the resident mad scientists of the game. However, there's one exception - the Penny Farthing. Then there's the Tastes Like Chicken card that makes one of your Harrowed dudes eat a non-gadget horse. Lastly, there's The Ghost - the undead spirit of a familiar US President.

Combine the three, and you too can watch Abraham Lincoln eat a bicycle!

The equipment cards that have appeared in sets from Mirrodin on are rife for this sort of thing. It's not uncommon to see creatures using three or four weapons at the same time - often without having any arms to hold them - but for my money the silliest scenario is when you equip the Headless Horseman with one (or more!) of the several helmets. It makes you wonder where he puts them, doesn't it?

There's several eccentricities in the Tool Credits system, notably the Pink Floyd clause (studying Architecture makes it easier to learn Music).

However, the big weird thing is that you can purchase Monotheism without first purchasing Deism or Theology, thus making it possible to become a nation believing in only one god without actually having developed the concept of gods in the first place...

"Alright, I'll spend the heat points to move my completely undamaged 100-ton behemoth, armed with every weapon known to the Inner Sphere, up to point-blank range. Alright, I'm going to level my three, count 'em, THREE PPCs at your scrawny little scout 'mech, which has no legs remaining, fires going in two ammo bays, and which is leaking coolant all over the battlefield. Prepare to be obliterated as soon as my 'mech cools!"

"Uh...I fire my one remaining machine gun. Hey, a twelve! And another! And another! A stray shot bounces off a nearby boulder, through the cockpit air-vent, and hits your pilot in the eye! I win!"

Happened too many times to count.

We played a free for all between Dooku, Vader, and Annakin. Which means that Count Dooku was fighting Annakin before and after he was killed by Annakin while Darth Vader was just trying to cease to exist while Annakin was having a hard time trying to kill himself. Meanwhile my friend's sister kept distracting me by passing through the hallway between the guest room and the batthroom in nothing but a towel, losing the towel on a mishceivous doorknob, but only seconds before a power transformer blew and the lights went out.

Item 1: Videotape of the creation of the universe (an artifact).

Item 2: Get there first (to steal an artifact).

Item 3: Item 1 is required for multiple missions.

So, I travel back to the beginning of time and videotape the creation of the universe (Much to the chagrin of the Green Lantern Corps). Player 2 gets there before me, and... what?

We finally decided that the tape was actually in God's possesion, and you steal it from His library.

Okay, you're in a race. And you've got armloads of tasty carrots to eat for quick energy. And the finish line is in sight! But you've got this accursed cabbage that's weighing you down. Do you chuck it by the roadside and sprint for the win? No! Clearly, the best course of action is to squat by the side of the road and gnaw on the stupid, nasty cabbage while your competitors kick dust in your face as they pass.

I will never, never, never understand the logic of this! Maybe gas gives you extra boost?

The expedition cards that allow you to make an upgrade on your development board without the required ships (and conversely, the others that allow you to pay ships but not spice). I envision sending empty ships home to the motherland in exchange for your promotion in rank, and when they arrive empty in the harbor, everyone has a good laugh at the prank you have pulled on the King, OR alternatively, sending spice across the ocean in washtubs and old packing crates, trusting to the ocean currents to guide them to the Motherland ... I know, I know: that's not the true situation (e.g., you borrow ships from some non-player dealer, etc.), but that's the one that jumped unbidden into my mind the first time it came up, and I can't get rid of it!

It may not be a common occurance, but in many of the games I've played, no one buys Uranium for most of the game, and at least two players jump on the Garbage bandwagon. So it isn't unusual for Garbage to be more expensive than Coal, Oil, or even Uranium.
