This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Three pages long and it is just a 1:30 on Monday? Crazy!
I hit some thrifts while my son was in his playgroup and found this - didn't know they produced a fancy board version - complete with speed limit signs and fuel tanks. VERY nice card tray in this BTW - not as thematic as the car tray so may swap it out with one of those if it fits in the box fine.
So had to pick it up - in excellent condition $4 Downtown Rescue Mission Thrift.
Now to just finish getting the tape residue off - grrr.
Edit: CE car card tray fits fine if you toss the insert. Strangely enough looking at the included card tray closer - it is of very nice quality but only about 1/2" deep - so not very useful for this game. (not the same as pictured)
Catan was already spoken for and I already have/didn't want any of the GMT/FFG games, but I jumped on the Euros. Two Spiel das Jahres winners for $25.
This game for $12.50. Played and the box is worn, but everything is there. Edit: I was too hasty in my initial assessment. The game is still playable, but I'm missing the round "2" and "3" cards. I contacted the seller to have him send them to me if he finds them. We'll see what happens. Double D'oh!: The cards must have fallen out of the box in my car. I found them today at lunch!
$6.87, Target. They were clearing them out with their summer toys. This was the 75% off price so I don't expect it will get any lower there. I have passed up a few of these in thrift stores but was happy to get it new at that price.
I was visiting Kelowna and ran to the VV as soon as I could get away. Large game section but nothing i wanted. The next day I ran to the market for some bread and my car turned itself into VV again for a quick look. This is the first of three games I found. Complete, haven't played yet. Paid $5.99.
The second game I found. They actually had a boxed version and a tin version with a felt map. The box had all the game pieces for both games so I fixed the two games and took the tin tube version because it was cheaper ($3.99). Interesting history on this self published game.
Edition pictured. Part of a $1.99 bag of oddity at a Savers in Toledo. The rest of the bag was flash cards and an uncredited version of Concentration. I would have passed it up but after stopping there as part of a weekend social visit I felt the need to come away with something.
I also stopped at a Toledo Goodwill, where I found that the junior members of the Thrift Store Irritant Squad in that city are mounted! I was walking down an aisle carrying a heavily-taped copy of Fishin' Time, when a ten-year-old on a bicycle came around the corner and almost took me out. Now I know why most thrifts keep the bikes outside during operating hours. I took that as a sign, put back the game, and beat a hasty retreat.
Picked this up mainly for the terrain - all that was really in the box but sparkly water tiles. The rest of this was in a couple of bags with mixed Megablok sets in the showcase but passed on those as they were $30 DI, Salt Lake City, UT $3
Hey another one! Sweet! ARC $2.99 Open up and unplayed - most spice and battle chits still unpunched but was missing the character boxes. Instead a clue card for Perry Mason Detective game. So I run back to the shelves where I find...
* Missing one red 20 sided die * Missing the four regular six sided die * Missing the Iron Wolves Team Play Token
That's it. Everything else, including all the mini's is complete. Looks brand new except for one very small crunch in the top right box corner (which in turn did a small crunch on one of the game board sections inside).
Pictured version. Stopped in the local hunting grounds (AMVETS East SD) and found this bagged with Zingo (for the grand kids) for $2.95. Inventory complete and looks in real good condition. Box is a bit scratched, but not blown out.
