This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I.

Probably one of the last flea markets of this year I could attend. I found the Black edition of Canium. Like new, just opened, complete and perfect condition. Even the modeling clay is like new and flexible. Payed 3 EUR, Already sold for 25 EUR. This is a good end for my flea market season.
Picked up a copy of this at a car boot sale on the weekend for 50p (along with HeroQuest). We do already own a copy, but it's out on long-term loan to a friend, so we haven't played it yet - hopefully we can play this new copy instead!
The human race, to which so many of my readers belong, has been playing at children's games from the beginning, and will probably do it till the end, which is a nuisance for the few people who grow up. - GKC
$7, Silent Auction @ Fall Hoopla in WI
Deckbuilder with minis and direct player vs player combat. Figured it was worth a look.
I had my first ever thrifting haul today. I was off work so was out and about mooching the charity shops until I get to this Trinity Hospice. I head towards the game section which is fuller than usual and spy The New Dungeon which I quickly pull of the shelf only to see a £7 price tag on it. Ooooo too much for me. As I am putting it back I notice the Zombies logo down behind the shelves where it and a load of other stuff has fallen. As i ferret it out I also turn up a copy of the Settlers card game, Again £7, not looking good. Luckily Zombies is missing a price tag. As I look a round bit more I notice a load of other non standard games dotted about all marked up as £7. Booo.
Anyway I head off to the till with Zombies to ask how much they are charging. The lady at the till says
"That ones £1"
Cool but odd think I as I hand over my shiny nugget. So I ask about the other games and if they are all really £7. She says she'll negotiate.
I also ask her if I can re-organise the shelf that has the load of games that have fallen dow the back. She happily says yes and asks if I will dust too. Of course I say yes hoping it will put her in an amicable mood.
Cleaning and dusting finished I carry a pile of games to the counter and ask how much. Instead of £7 each she says how about £2 a piece. Oh yes. Here is what I got.
Was looking forward to this one but it is missing the 33 Spell Cards. Which is odd as it is obviously lloked after with everything bagged up and English rules printed out. I'll have to check if there are English print outs of the spell cards here on the Geek.
