This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I.
The Order's Anthem: Sing along with our good old thrifty theme song...
I went to a couple stores today for a late lunch. Later than I would like to go which means i probably was beat already by other thrifters who went out earlier....
I stopped by one and was planning on picking up a Pokemon Yahtzee Jr. that had been sitting on the shelf a few days for the dice since i've been shown quite a few nice PnP games. Long story longer.....The pokemon game was gone, but behind a few other ones I did find this one with the Blue dice. Those ones I dont see too often. yay i suppose for what was otherwise a bust...
Pictured. $1.29 Goodwill. No instructions. Small pokeno-like white chips. Money looks unplayed as do the cards. Looking for parts list Complete... except for rules. I have the tube version of this game so maybe those will work.
$1.29 Goodwill. Was factory sealed. Not any more. I mistook the top tape as a Goodwill job. No biggie. A little crunched on the top box. Not a great rating, but a game I didn't have and not a waste at that price.
A new VV is opening tomorrow and they had a pre-grand opening event tonight for a couple hours. Long lines and they started late but picked up a total of 15 games for about $45 for an average of $3 each so it helped ease the pain.
