As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, now remain in my love. You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. -- Jesus Christ
This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our king: Belial I.

Bought this one at the same GW for $4.49. Complete and shiny, had to find out why it doesn't have but a couple of comments here on BGG. It sure looks like fun (what with the motorized mutant bull and all)...
Then at the Allentown Rd Value Village, I got the starter set for the Star Wars minis game. Complete for $2.42. Lots of room to store other minis in it so I added the ones from the couple of booster packs I bought a month or so on sale at Target. I'll stick this one on the shelf for a couple of years to play later with my son. (Unless he finds it and plays with the minis as toys first.)
Bought solely for the bits - but I'm keeping most of it! Great, great coins, metal ships to pimp some other game, 4 nice dice bags to give away, a pirate map to use as a toy and a fantastic hinged wooden box to use for a PnP game, plus 3 wooden dice and a direction dice. All mine for the low price of $4.94. (I've passed this by earlier at $15). Allentown Rd Value Village.
I found my second game in the same week. Wow weeks of drought and I find this gem @ Goodwill ($2) that I had all but given up on since I've gone their for months and never found anything worthwhile game wise.
This game was quickly given to a friend that has fixed two of my computers lately. Hoping the streak will continue.
$2.38 at CR GW. Looks like someone spilled liquid soap on the box. Inside looks like it was never played, but somebody thought it might be a good idea to open the box then smoke a few packs of Camels. Actually not too bad, but my wife has a sensitive nose so I will see if I can get it aired out. Anything work well for you all? I threw a dryer sheet in there to start...
Weird game, but what the heck, for $2.99 at GW I'll take a look. Box kinda trashed, and a couple of holes in the board, though nothing serious. Parts in a big ziploc so hopefully it's complete. Came in to find a guy with a couple of board games under his arm checking something on a smart phone but I was too antisocial/tired/in a hurry to say anything. I think he had 13 dead end drive and something else unexciting.
