B-Movie Games

These are games that recreate those cheesy movies you stayed up late to watch or, worse, caught at the drive-in one buggy afternoon. The games don't have to be cheesy, guilty pleasures, but the subjects are. I'm not including games that are based on ACTUAL movies, such as Army of Darkness. Just games that fit the B-movie genre.

There are dozens of absolutely horrible B-movies with this theme... main reason my gaming group bought Zombies!!! We love that crap.

Whoa, almost forgot this classic genre!! Haii-ya! I like Hong Kong cinema - John Woo, Jackie Chan, Jet Li... But there's still a lot of forgettable stuff with bad dubbing... and, often, the word "monkey" in the title.

Check out the alternate name for Deadwood.

A silly, light-hearted game where each player attempts to film the worst B-monster-movie possible. Stick your opponents with Oscar-quality FX and keep "Walk-on Extras in Leading Roles" for yourself!

Time travelling has definitely got to be a B-movie staple.

And this one is a fun little game. It's definitely part of my B-Movie themed game collection (yes, I have one).

I really feel this game belongs here, I love this game and the more bizare the haunt the better the game I feel.

Although I think the game sucks, it fits the list. In the images section of this one you can even see that a new version is being called "B-Movie" instead of Deadwood. Hmmmmmm.

Guys!? How could you forget this? One game to rule them all! Whatever B-Movie motif tickles your cheesy glue-on antenna ... this one has it!

Now, why didn't I think of this days ago?? Sorry, Neal. These games have a great Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers/Dan Dare feel to them. Space Nazis and heroic Allied fighter pilots!

Though only Jason and the Argonauts comes in the box, this game represents all the Harryhausen stuff that used to be a staple on the 4:30 Movie, like Sinbad or Clash of the Titans.

And here's the other half of the B-Fantasy subgenre, derived straight from Tolkien instead of historical mythology.

This is an obvious choice. Godzilla and King King-like monsters roaming across the United States. Reminds me of the video game Rampage!!

The game itself isn't related to the movie "Ice Pirates" but we get asked whenever we bring it out.
