Since signing up on Kickstarter there have been more and more projects that have caught my eye. This geeklist doesn't include all the projects I'm backing - but it does include the projects that I think are unique/interesting/worth backing/awesome/something to look forward to (some of them I haven't backed, but you might be interested in backing).

Remember beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder goo as long as the Beholder isn't the one from D&D. robot

I like the idea of supporting small / new game publishers / creative game ideas, and I want to share all these awesome projects. Also it'll help me keep a track of the games I missed out on backing and want to buy in the future. So let's get these awesome games out and played.

Maybe these will interest you also. This is a work in progress. Please enjoy

The projects are ordered by project end date: the newest projects are at the end of this list.

If you're unsure of what Kickstarter is about you can check out my brief explanation here Kickstarter - showcasing new products

This game caught my eye, so I've been checking out the kickstarter page and the BGG videos on this game.

I absolutely love card drafting games, and also space themes so it sounds quite interesting. I really like the unique board, and cool components, plus the Start Player idea. So I'd like to give this game a go, not sure if it'll end up in my collection but we'll see.

I will add this game also. I was interested in it. I already have Pandemic. I joined Kickstarter after it had finished.

But I found out that international shoppers can't pre-order this game. I'm now a bit hesitant to buy it as they mentioned it was a lot of effort to ship to international backers. Which is a real pity. But don't let my experience sway you. It does look like an interesting game.

Zombies seem to be the theme for kickstarter recently. There have been a lot of Zombie games coming out. Hot on the tail of Deck building games, this is a deck deconstructing game. It had a nice zombie themed artwork, and interesting mechanics.

This awesome game has a fantastic box and I love the divider cards.

This project has already finished. But what an amazing project to back. Clever Mojo games released a HOT game last year called Alien Frontiers which was sold out twice! I was unable to get my hand on a copy. WHen I finally saw this on kickstarter I had to sign up. For the price and excellent support & constant communication from CM Games, this was totally worth it.

Let me just say that CM Games has really taken customer support to a new level. They have been amazing. They've also taken into account all the feedback their supporters/backers have given them and implemented most of them. Awesome stuff!!
Definitely, a great company to watch.

This cute little game is a new card game created by Angie and Tyler. The game is about building your creatures using the beginning, middle, and end parts of different creatures to come out on top as a champion. The names are very funny, and the graphics are great. Angie & Tyler have thrown in a LOT of awesome bonuses too. I'm loving the magnets.

First Ever Live Sports Card Game
------------------------------------
I've been looking for a game to play with my bf who doesn't play any of my board games - at all...The only game I could get him to actually enjoy was Spot It.

So when this appeared on kickstarter, I had to find out more about it.
It looks like something my partner would really enjoy because he loves sports and watching it on TV. If you have a partner who's totally into a sport, this might be a light fun game you could play together while watching it on TV.

There are decks for baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis etc. I'm in!

First Ever Live Sports Card Game - Kickstarter Page

This project finished on 2011, Nov 24.
Estimated delivery month Dec 2011.
Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.

I hope in future more card games come out with sport themes.

This is a 4X space empires game distilled to its bare awesomeness and streamlined for quick and fun play, much like Nexus Ops is for "Dudes on a Map"-style games. It's perfect for people who don't want to spend hours reading through a thick rulebook and stacking up piles of bits, but would rather just dive in and start taking over the universe. Due to its simplicity, I see it as being ideal to play with older children or more casual gamers as well.

I've only read through the rulebook myself, but it looks like a very fun game that will fill a different niche than my larger, longer, more in-depth 4X games. And the hand-painted artwork by the game designer is gorgeous - those are certainly the most beautiful map tiles I've seen in a space game!

With this project being funded, at this point it's just a matter of how high the funding will go and how many extras we'll see as a result. You can't lose by supporting it now! I'm just waiting to see if I can go in with a few other local gamers before I commit my pledge.

Z-WARD
This game is actually called Z-WARD created by the same people that made Action Castle. They now have a new Parsely coming out which has yet to have it's own item link - so for now I will use Action Castle.

Remember in the 1970s, 1980s when there were text based computer games? Like Maniac Mansion? These are called Parsely games. You paRSE a command to the computer who shows you the response.

YOU ENTER A ROOM THERE IS A CUPBOARD. (Look, Search, Open, Go)

Saw this on the Essen videos, and it looks quite interesting. I think this game will appeal to players who like logic puzzles and such. Oh! and superpowers! I love the meeple that wraps around. I love meeples.

Definitely one to watch. They are already halfway to the goal.
I bought Ultimate Werewolf and Start Player and loved the quality of the products. I finally brought start player to the table and it was great! Totally beats Rock, scissors, paper -> you start!

Bezier games is definitely an awesome company to watch. They have some amazing things coming up. There's the expansions for the Ultimate Werewolf, TieBreaker, this new board game.

My dream is for them to open up a new tier that includes those other awesome games

Their goal is at $10,000 and they are currently at $8,109

With the amazing artwork and interesting Lovecraftian theme, this interesting deck building game caught my eye. I haven't had much experience playing games that use this theme, but this game has really piqued my interest. I've even researched about the Miskatonic University. Very interesting.

If you still want to back it, I highly recommend it. Looks like a very interesting game. I backed it for 2 copies - one of the new rewards was to have our names printed on the box. This is the first time I've been a part of something amazing like this.
Can't wait to get my copy.

This one might be a great game for those who like battle simulations. I haven't played many war type games besides Risk and fantasy fighting games such as Warhammer 40,000, but after watching the video it seemed like quite an interesting mechanic. Especially when everyone is working towards the common goal, but you might be stuck in a location on the board.

So tempted to back this one straight away after watching the video.

It has lots of nice dice and it looks like it'll have lots of nice components.

Their goal is $13,000 and they have already smashed it. They are currently at $71,313 as of Nov 21st, with 700 backers$50,930 as of Nov 12th, with 522 backers so go check it out.

I love Pirates & ghosts. So this game instantly drew me in.
But due to my budget constraints I was doing having my usual AP fit. Should I get it or not... I really wanted to get it after my first look, and they're supporting young independent artists. I really admire that. So I'm backing this project also.

With their latest video of the game play and those awesome captain cards it pushed me over to the Deep-Depths-of-CCard-Usage (may I find treasure at the bottom of the Ocean)

I look forward to more updates on the art and the components I'm hoping the chits/pieces will be Piratey awesomeness.

I think this will be a great 2 player game.

Their goal is at $7,500 and they are currently at $7,646 as of Dec 6th, with 169 backers. They have 3 days left.

This project was successfully funded on 2011, Dec 10 at 126% for a total of $9,472 with 213 backers!

Time Flux - Origins of War
This was another Kickstarter I briefly checked out and ignored for a while, but then I gave it a second look, and Wow! I really like the idea, and theme. Plus they posted up more videos and information.

I know the videos are a bit rough - the video starts off looking Great! , and then ... sorry guys, but the interview at the car sort of put me off with it's casual appearance?... then it goes back to something more professional.

After watching the rest of the video, I think the game has merit and looks quite fun. thumbsupthumbsup So don't judge a book by it's cover.

thumbsupIt's also FREE shipping to the USA, and only $15 for international backers for most of the levels which is an awesome price IMHO.

This is a new game being developed by Tasty Minstral Games, with a pickup, deliver, route building style game, but set in a Steampunk era.
Definitely looks interesting and one to watch.

Plus it plays up to 6 players which is a bonus.

This game is also being Springboarded. So I think this will be one nice looking game.

But I just saw the $50 shipping cost for non-USA/Canadian destinations. So I might have to wait and see.

Their goal is $10,000 and they are already at $16,736 as of Nov 12th, with 281 backers, so go check it out.

Schizoid
This looks like a cute little game. I really like the fun artwork, and for the price it's quite a good little project to back. The game play is Fluxx-y (which I do enjoy), and I think this would be a fun drinking game, cool down game, party game full of craziness.

Shipping is ONLY $5 for international backers - that was a huge bonus in my opinion.

This is a new project that just started today - Nov 12th. Their goal is at $10,000 and they are currently at $43 as of Nov 12th, with 2 backers. Check it out

3D PrintrBot

I've been checking out some other projects on Kickstarter, and this one looks quite interesting.
It's a 3D printer - which I can't afford. But imagine the possibilities of pimping your own board games.

This is a new Kickstarter project. Looks quite interesting.
I like the theme. A game of dice, monsters, cards, insanity...a Big thumbsup thumbsup in my books. Find your items before you turn insane! Cue the scary music here.

For those interested in the shipping rates: The shipping is included for Us backers, add $10 for Canada & Mexico and add $25 for the rest of the world. Which seems like a good shipping rate.

Their goal is at $5000 and they are currently at $2,874
with 67 backers. So to check it out go here.

This is a newly posted game on the Kickstarter site. The cute sketches/pictures drew me to it straight away.

I haven't played the old computer game on the Apple IIe, but I love old school games.

There's a great video of the artist doing his drawing. It's really amazing and cool to watch someone work on a piece or art. Very very cool! I'm interested in the game play and the weather cards, I'll have to do some more reading But for now, here's something to keep an eye on

I glanced over this game a few times while checking out the Kickstarter board game pages. Then after reading other comments by posters on BGG, I decided to give it a second look. Yes, I did a big double take.

This is definitely a very interesting game idea. I love the idea of the 3 pizza cutters but not knowing what the other player is going to do. That is my favourite style of gaming...if I do this he might do that...if he does that, the other player might do....

I guess the theme doesn't appeal to most, but I love the creative idea behind it. Love Anchovies, and I thought the expansion's unique mechanics was great! Can't wait to see more of this game and so tempted to throw down some money now. Just wondering who I can bribe into playing this game...

Pondering Backed - We do seem to order pizza at the end of a gaming session...so I could sneak this in while waiting for the real pizza

This project was successfully funded on 2011, Dec 31 at 192% for a total of $8,042 with 222 backers!
