As many previous posts attest to, I am a massive fan of kickstarter.com as a funding vehicle for various different private projects, but most notably comics and board games in my case!

I kicked off my kickstarter backing with Alien Frontiers and have not looked back since!

The most recent addition to my backing collection was Mirror, Mirror, which I personally think was a little under-rated, it only just made its funding goal yet it is an awesome game.

This is the point of this little geeklist - there are now so many game projects on the site, one can miss some gems that are on the list but aren't:

* Re-releases of major games
* Re-releases from a previously successful publisher
* Have a hook like Cthulu or something similar

These types of projects usually smash their targets e.g. Miskatonic School for Girls, but smaller projects find it a bit trickier.

Herewith three games that are a bit slower on the uptake but in my opinion look awesome!

I also include one game on this list that isn't a Kickstarter project, but really deserves to get funded.

Look forward to comments and adds from others

Cool Mob-inspired card game that does not seem to have a direct competitor in currently available mob games - looks like a lot of fun, but coming up a bit short on funding at present.

A really awesome looking card game from some chaps in the States. I haven't been into Card games since being a Jyhad/V:TES player back in the day. I took one look at this and thought 'this is a Card game worth getting back into the genre for'. Cool art, cool mechanics - well worth a look, I think this could be quite a popular game in time...

A simple but fun looking game. Made me think of Poison from Reiner Knizia when I first saw it, but the mechanics are a little more novel than Poison in that the water jugs themselves have a role to play in what cards you play which is a little different to the Poison 'cauldrons' - not expensive and worth backing methinks...

Ok, yes I am a New Zealander and this makes me biased...But come on, there isn't a game out there I know of that focuses on some of the toughest battles fought in the South Pacific in the 1800s. A little known fact that you can think about next time you see a Maori Haka before a game of rugby union or rugby league: New Zealand was going to be the major British penal colony in the Pacific, but Australia was chosen amongst other reasons because the Maori were such fierce and effective warriors.

The game focuses on the land wars in NZ and would make a great addition to any wargamers collection.

Head across to Legion Wargames - http://www.legionwargames.com/legion_maori_wars.html and pre-order yourself a copy, only 195 to go as at time of writing!
