has been extremely on the ball this year! Already we have people who have received their "gifts from the thrifts."

If you are participating in this year's Thrifty Santa exchange, please post here when you receive your items. This helps Santa to ensure the package arrived safely, and helps other thrifters to become extremely jealous.

All I can say is WOW!!!

Thrifty Santa really went above and beyond my wildest expectations! I enjoyed the taunts and posts. They add a fun element to the whole exchange.

My wife and I own no human children, by choice, so I had our "boys" Chipper & Dozer, pose in the pics.

Two..... yes, two boxes showed up today. Lucky they made it here. Thrifty Santa changed my last name to "McChainsaw" instead of the real one. laugh BTW, you could have left off the "Mc" and added "ski" or "ik" to the end. That would have been more ethnically correct.

For those wondering, I make a living as a mb.

Chipper loves to sniff.....

First box contained,
Parade (in shrink!),
2 Heroscape exp. still sealed. Gladiators and Agents from Thora's Vengeance. Heroes of the Molten Sea from Defenders of Kinsland.
A ziploc bag of loose Heroscape figures and cards.
Snorta!, cards and barns.

Second box had another Heroscape exp still sealed.
Heroes of Korvaire from the Warriors of Eberron, D&D exp.
Another ziploc of loose Heroscape figs,
a minty copy of The Swarm,
and one of my thrift grails......Quandary!!!!
WooHoo!!!!!! Contents of Quandary are like new!

The ziplocs had these figs and swamp tiles in them. Looks like all the figs from Heroscape Master Set: Swarm of the Marro, plus 5 hero figures from other expansions. thumbsup

Thank you so much Thrifty! Everything you sent was on my wishlist. Way, way, way more than I would have expected. I'm happy to be a part of this wonderful, generous community known as BGG!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I had.... a box!

And in the box, I had... gifts!

So I opened the gifts, after stacking them in size order. So of course, that meant I had to open the smallest one first, and found... Decktet!

Clearly, my Thrifty Santa does a bit of P&P, too. I didn't even know I wanted one of these, but after seeing the artwork on the cards... wow. I actually didn't know what it was at first; I thought it was some kind of strange tarot deck. But then I opened the second gift and found...

Rules! Well, that cleared that right up. I'll have to investigate further once I have time; today was not a day in which I had much time for such things.

On to the next gift! And what I found was... BuyWord!

Not only a Sid Sackson that I didn't have yet, but one I hadn't actually been aware of! My mom, who is most often the person I play word games with, looked at the back of the box and sort of made an odd face... I expect the combination of 'word game' and 'financial theme' seems a little out-there for her.

Next up was another Sackson... Acquire!

This has been my thrift grail for a while... guess I need a new grail! Thanks, Santa! But what to move on to...?

Perhaps the next gift is a good place to start. And what's there...? Feudal

This caught me off-guard... especially once I saw what it is. An abstract strategy... that supports *six* players? Wow, 3M. Wow. Why'd you have to go and stop making games...?

On to the last gift! And it's... Vegas Showdown!

I've looked at this a couple of times over the years, but never really looked that closely... But I have a good excuse to, now.

So, there's the results! Some I definitely wanted, some I didn't know I wanted, but all look promising! Thanks a lot, Santa!

I came home to find a note in my mailbox that 2 packages were waiting for me at the post office. One is probably from Thrifty Santa! I'm hoping to get there early enough tomorrow to pick them up before the post office closes.

Edit:

I made it to the post office with time to spare, collected the Thrifty Santa package, and took it home to put under the tree until my daughter got back and we'd had dinner. Knowing that the games were not wrapped inside the box, I did not give in to my son's pleadings to open it immediately. Photographic evidence:

Once dinner was over, we proceeded out for the ceremonial unwrapping. I retreated just far enough to survive the frenzy.

Games were pulled out faster than I could absorb. Gasps filled the air. Delighted kids spread the games out before them.

And when you have games, you have to play them. We spent the rest of the evening playing Walk the Dogs. I was particularly pleased to get this one because I'd almost found it once until I opened the box and saw that everything was missing except the rules. My son soon devolved into simply playing with the cute dogs, but my daughter and I played intently. Good game for kids and adults, and did I mention the cute dogs? There are so many of them!

There are also two Family Pastimes games that we didn't have:

The Farmers Market

Harvest Time

We've loved all of their coop games so far, and these two are next up on the list to be played tonight.

Thrifty Santa clearly did a lot of research into our likes as he hit a lot of the sweet spots:

Missing parts? He supplied us with everything we were missing from Buggo. Since I found our incomplete copy, my son's been taking out the tiles and just laying them all over our living room floor. Now we can play it!

Our love of ccgs? He gave us a new one to try out: Looney Tunes Trading Card Game and Madagascar cards to add to our Xēko collection.

Our love of Clue and other deductive games? He got us Fraud Squad. In shrink, no less!
.
My love of theme and cool bits? Check out The Pumpkin King.

(not my picture)

Pirates and Knizia goodness that I've seen often on the list but never in my stores? Dead Man's Treasure

Loads of cool magnets to play with (playing the game itself is really hard): RattleSnake

(not my picture)

Cool dice game? Bowling Dice

Thanks so much Thrifty Santa! You clearly spent a lot of time thoughtfully picking out presents for us and you've made us very happy this Christmas!

Got my Thrifty Secret Santa stuff a day or two ago... I think. I'm in a time warp due to work but all I know is I got a package with presents in it. Santa hooked me up with a nice looking copy of Scotland Yard and a not so thrifty copy of Small World: Tales and Legends. Well, it may have been thrifty but I never find cool stuff like that in my thrift stores! Very cool stuff Santa. I'll be bringing Scotland Yard with me to the in-laws for Christmas so it may get some play I'll also be checking out a few thrift stores while I'm out there Thanks Santa! Merry Christmas!

Also, I'll post some pics when I can find the time!!!

Mine came just in time for Christmas.

Thank you very much Thrifty Secret Santa.

I got another older Avalon Hill game for my collection of growing AH games as well as getting Rocketville
a newer AH game.

These are both very welcome additions and great shopping by my Thrifty Secret Santa.

Wowza!! I guess I was a good (and lucky) boy this year, I've had a great visit from Thrifty Santa (and elves)!

Back in Thanksgiving the first box arrived, from an elf. Not just any elf, but a certain elf in Ithaca, NY! Here's that box opened up:
This box also contained a nice card, which I neglected to show in the picture.

Just a few days ago the box from the other elf arrived, with another card included:

In between was my terrific box from my "real" Secret Santa. Look at all this!!

It's all the fixings for a family game night. There's boxes of chocolates, popcorn, the bags contain hot chocolate and cider packets, and there's even a recipe for "Game Night Cheddar Bacon Dip/Spread." There was also a very nice Christmas letter. And, of course, a couple of games!

All together, the six gifts looked like this:

Then I opened them (in the order prescribed in the letter), and they soon looked like this:

The first two were Team Out! Baseball and Sports Dice: Baseball.
(No pic in the DB for the other one-- I can add them!) Way cool!! Two baseball games I've never seen or even heard of!! I would definitely had grabbed these if I'd seen them in a store myself. I like that Sports Dice has the ABC Sports logo on it.

The next three were straight from my Thrifty Santa wishlist: Ultimate Mastermind, Black Box, and Shogun. That is terrific, all three of these are ones I've wanted to play with my kids. And for me, these are all exactly the right versions of these games: the versions I had or remember.

And the final package is one from my regular wishlist, wow! Arkadia

Thanks so much, Thrifty Santa and Elves, this is a great Thriftmas!

Yes Virginia, there is a Thrifty Claus!

I was out late tonight at a game night. Walked in the door, checked my email before heading to bed, and there was a note from Thrifty Santa. He'd sent his elves to visit my house tonight! My presents were hand delivered!

Unfortunately only our dogs were home tonight, and Santa said they barked and barked. I think they were trying to explain how happy their master would be when he got home.

I went out to the living room and found the box by the tree, my wife had pulled it in from the porch. Wow, I count five presents! Thank you Thrifty Santa! Christmas morning can't get here soon enough!

[Christmas Update]

Woohoo!! What a great Thrifty Santa! Thank You!!

Christmas morning came, and I opened my family gifts first, then the thrifty gifts. Everyone else was done, and I still had gifts left to unwrap. That never happens, what a treat!

So, after a very nice Christmas card from my Santa, what did I find in package #1?

Sector 41! Well this is a game I've seen, but haven't played yet. A bit of strategy, a bit of space, I think it's time to give it a try!

On to Package #2:

Carc Inns & Cathedrals! My wife and I love to play Carc, and this looks like a fun expansion. We'll definitely get some use out of this. How did Thrifty Santa know?

Next up, Package #3:

The card game Race for the Summit! Another game I've seen but haven't played. Funny thing is, our daughter just took up rock climbing. So she's claimed this one to take back to college with her. Something for everyone! Thrifty Santa, you're so smart!

Onward to Package #4:

Pirate's Dice! My wife loves dice games. So a dice game is always welcome in our house. Good job Santa!

And finally, package #5...yes, there were five packages...this one made me say 'Oh my!' when I opened it, because Thrifty Santa really just nailed it with this one:

The Mississippi Queen! Wow, how could I not have realized that I *need* this game. I've just looked and looked at it today and I'm in awe of how cool I think this game is. It's got a unique theme, racing, water, tiles, paddleboats, and the little southern belle passengers - it's got it all. I *love* this game, and we haven't even had a chance to play it yet! Thrifty Santa, you rock!

My Thrifty Santa package arrived today, T. Santa had said it was going to be coming any day and here it is. A large and heavy box that was packed full of wrapped gifts.

Tomorrow we will be opening gifts with some of the family and these will take part of the ceremony. Thank you Thrifty Santa! I will update this post once the contents have been ripped from their wrappings.

Update:

My thrifty Santa did a very good job and got me some great games.

I started with the smallest box first and it was

We will have to give this one a try with the family, they love the party games.

Then moved on to the next

Another party game that the family should like.

The third one I opened was

Secret Santa must have seen all the other Gigamic wood games in my collection and knew I was missing this one, good call T. Santa.

The 4th was another I was missing, this time from the 3M bookshelf line

Last one I opened

Word War III
I have never heard of this one but the pieces are really cool and this is the one of the bunch my non-gaming girlfriend said ooh that looks fun. Any game I can get her to play is automatically a winner.

Thank you Thrifty Santa for the great gifts.

Well, as I got home from work today, I found two boxes at the front door. One was from Dish Network - the replacement remote we'd ordered, as we had found that remote controls are not fond of chocolate ice cream. However, the other was from a Mr T Santa!

I wish I could show you pictures in all their glory, but as the computer gods are unhappy with me (see: remote control), they also decided to consume my computer utterly, leaving me with a useless hulk of plastic and metal until after the holidays. So, from my borrowed laptop, I must make do with a thousand words (or maybe a few less), since I have no pictures of my own to post.

The box was packed full of lovely gaming goodness. First was Bazaar, the Discovery Toys edition. This one has been on my wishlist for a while, and I've only ever seen an incomplete copy in the wild. Very pleased to get this!

Next was Konexi, a very interesting looking word game. I actually do have a regular meetup for word games, and am glad to be able to bring something new!

Underneath those games I saw Carcassonne: The Castle. Very very cool. I like Carcassonne a lot, and haven't had a lot of opportunity to play it so far, so I'll be bringing this to the next meetup.

Then came Guillotine, another one from my wishlist. Yay! Off with their heads! Such fun!

After that was Palabra. It is on my wishlist, but I must admit, I traded for this only about a week ago. I recall thinking when I accepted the trade that it would most likely end up in my Thrifty Santa haul. I consoled myself by reminding myself that playing with two decks is actually preferred (and it is! really!), so now I have the optimum playing set!

And on the bottom of the box, I found Scandinavians! Blonde bearded men with horned helmets! I've not heard of this game before, and I'm now looking it over with great interest, and checking the meetup schedule to see when I might get to try it.

So, altogether a very exciting haul! Thanks so much, Thrifty Santa! You're the best!

Yo, Brian! Big Red here.

Sorry for the delay in communications. Ya see, I was in North Korea doing recon to try to improve the holidays for some of those kids, and I got caught and was "detained" as a suspected spy. I managed to sneak out during the recent funeral, since everyone in the country was required to watch that, even the prison guards.

Anyway, I've got a little package on the way to you now. Might get there before Christmas, maybe a little after. You never know with reindeer these days-- they play video games now instead of reindeer games, get a little fat and slow, you get the picture.

Merry Thriftmas!

Thrifty Santa came! Thrifty Santa came!
After his escape from North Korea (!), Thrifty Santa had time to stop by our house this morning!

The gifts were even wrapped! As it's Christmas Eve, we tore into them immediately.

First opened:

Battle Cattle: The Card Game

Thrifty Santa obviously saw my Car Wars love and rightly figured I'd get a kick out of this! Pretty neat!

Next:

Guillotine

A fun card game that we've played a couple of times with two people, looking forward to playing more and with more people now that we have our own copy!

Hey, That's My Fish!

Cool! Something on my wishlist! Version pictured. Will try to play this tonight with the family.
(missing one blue penguin if anyone has a spare - easily proxied for playing, though!)

Excellent work, Thrifty Santa! Many thanks from me and my family!

A box from "Thrify Santa" arrived on my doorstep and it was placed under the tree where it waited and waited and then waiting some more until Christmas Morning.

As soon as I opened the box, the rest of the family stopped what they were doing and came over to see what I was amazed about. The box from Thrifty Santa contained seven individually wrapped presents along with some newspaper stuff from West Virginia.

I had some help unwrapping the gifts and this is what we found:

AmuseAmaze

Battleball

Take Your Pick

Rocketmen: Axis of Evil (3 Packs of Axis of Evil, 1 Pack of Battle of Titans)

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Angel of Darkness Tomb Raider CCG - Into The Cave

A Santa Claus Ornament with "Thrifty Santa 2011" painted on it.

A sandwich bag containing 14 little square-bottomed miniatures

Awesome! My Thrifty Santa is awesome and did a great great job.

Thank you so much Thrifty Santa. I hope your Christmas was wonderful. Please know that you made a difference here in Las Vegas.

Thank you again!

"What the...?"

That's what I said after my gf and I got home last night after driving home from visiting her family over the holiday weekend. We had just pulled into the driveway after an 8-hour trip, and I saw a box big enough to hide a company of elves inside it sitting on our front stoop. After the initial elation of having one more box to open subsided, I realized it had been sitting in water ever since it was delivered (we got a heck of a lot of rain in the Southeast all weekend long). Which means that the guy we had come feed our cat while we were away forgot when we told him we were expecting a large box and to put it in the carport out of the weather (and out of sight; our neighborhood has had boxes stolen before), and unfortunately, most of the boxes had some degree of water damage. angryangryangryangryangry

So here's a pic of the box before it was opened:

Thankfully, there *was* no talking parrot, or it'd have been severely annoyed at being boxed up for however long it was.

So we opened the box, getting ready to deal with the mounds and mounds of packing peanuts that usually accompany a box this size. What we found instead, however, was:

Huh. Wasn't expecting that. A wonderful idea, though. And Santa had even thought to put the rest of the unused balloons in there, too! Woohoo!

So after tossing a couple of balloons at the cat, we started pulling the excellently-wrapped presents out. The ones closest to the bottom were fairly soaked along edges but still seemed sturdy. There was no damage to the boxes on top. We stacked them to get a pic, then we started opening them to see how much of an issue the water was.

We then began opening the presents and checking the damage. In the interests of not making a long story even longer, I'll just say that thankfully the damage was minimal. It was only on boxes; no boards, bits, or rules were harmed. The box halves took turns in front of our heating ducts and dried out nicely. Only one or two show water stains. So without further ado, here's what my completely awesome and way-too-generous Thrifty Santa gave me. These are all 3M versions:

Acquire

Executive Decision

Stocks & Bonds

Oh-Wah-Ree

Quinto

Foil

Feudal

Foil is indeed the gamette version and was the one that was probably the worst as far as the water damage. It still feels a little swollen, so I may hit it with a blow dryer later on. Some of the cards were bent, but that looks like it was more from use than damage. Feudal is really just the pieces and their box. Santa was kind enough (had the foresight?) to give me parts in case I find an incomplete one in the wild. Oh-Wah-Ree has some damaged marbles, but Santa warned me beforehand; I'll see if I can find some suitable replacements. On to the rest!

Blokus

Blokus Duo

Axis & Allies

Battleball (no outsert, go figure. )

DICEcapades -- this one doesn't look like it's been opened yet!

Bazaar -- has cards and boards for both the special and regular versions.

Sudoku Challenge

Cosmic Cows

And finally, one tiny box that almost got away:
Carcassonne: The River II

Santa did a great job with all of this. The variety (and amount!) of games here is perfect; there are many games for my group to enjoy along with games that my gf and I will play on our own. There's a great mix of games from my wishlist and games that weren't, but fit my style of gaming. Thank you so much for a great end to my Christmas, and I hope you and your family had a wonderful time with yours.

Parting shot of the new family members:

Wow. What a great Thrifty Santa. We got a huge package in the middle of December and decided to wait for Christmas. This was great for me because it was the only gift under the tree that I didn't know what it was. Christmas morning came and it was one of the first things opened. Our children really wanted to see what was in the box. When we opened there was Heroscape.

My younger daughter gasped at all the new pieces and my son made this high pitched noise and did this bizarre dance around the living room.

Off to the side was Slamwich and Mille Bornes. Great games.

But wait! under Heroscape was Bisikle! Who finds Bisikle at a thrift shop? Amazing! as of today all the games have been played.

Thanks Santa!!

edit: Spelling. I was typing just a little to fast...

We had to leave early for our Holiday travels due to a family emergency, which meant that our travels lasted around two weeks.
In that time two more packages arrived from Thrifty Santa or maybe a Thrifty Elf.

First was a large box which contained what appears to be a full set of Heroscape Master Set: Rise of the Valkyrie minus the box. Woohoo more plastic crack.
Looks like I'm going to have to get another plastic tub to accommodate my Heroscape storage. I'm sure that will make my wife super happy.

The other contained a nice copy of Quoridor. I've been interested in this one for a while but have never happened across a copy.

So another big thanks to Thrifty Secret Santa and/or Thrifty Secret Elf. I love this site and this community. This year's Thrifty Secret Santa has been a blast and seeing everyone's generosity has been amazing.

My thrifty Santa rocks!

I can't remember when everything arrived, but I know it was before Christmas. I posted to see if my Santa wanted me to open it or not, to which he sounded like was not an option!

I am a huge lover of dice games and dice by themselves, so I was totally excited to see Dungeon Dice! Been wanting to find this in a thrift store for awhile now.

Next was Phase 10 dice, Swipe and Lost Cities, some random dice in a hexagon shaped container, and some other bits from Avante that were all inside the box for that game.

The coolest part was the sweet looking dice tower.

Pics coming soon! Gregarious, thank you so much for running it! Also thank you to the Super Secret Thrifty Santa Squad guys behind the scenes, you all know who you are!

I arrived home after a very long drive to find my box of goodies. I've been busy trying to catch up on my geeklists before posting my own haul, and I finally took a moment to post!

Thrifty Santa found me a copy of Bermuda Triangle, an old childhood favorite! Plus Thunder Road and Waterworks w/metal wrenches.

Thanks, Thrifty Santa!

That's Einfach Genial, Citadels, Six Nimmt, a Finnish movie, Finnish Licorice (now donated to our resident licorice addict), a box of Finnish licorice sweets, and a postcard of the Moomins. From Finland.

If only I knew where my thrifty santa was from

My other half is now wishing she'd let me take it with us on the seasonal tour de family, so she could beat her siblings at Genial....

I'm late posting, and doing this from memory, as I have spent most of the season away from my gifts, but wow, what a great secret Thrifty Santa I have!

I opened a huge box of wrapped packages, each with a cute and funny note on the package.
One referenced the colorful background of my avatar, and the package contained 4th Dimension, which looks like a groovy game. Can't wait to try it.
Next up was a deck of playing cards with trivia on them. We are always in need of playing cards, as my wife and her friends like cribbage and other traditional card games. Super!
Next was another deck of cards, the game Third World General, which was referenced on the note as Junta-like. interesting...
Next was a book, George R.R. Martin's Fevre Dream. I enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire books, I look forward to digging into this. Nice one, TS!
Now the coolness really starts. Next up was a DVD, Amelia. My brother got this for me for Christmas when it came out, but it has been lost over the years and moves. I loved it and look forward to watching it again soon.
Then another lost item returning home:
Arkadia, new in shrink.
I had this for a while, and loved it, but for a long time it hardly saw any play other than online at Yucata.de, and I traded it away. It was also the first item I had traded for through BGG (though I was taken a bit... I had no idea Advanced Heroquest was worth much, and someone offered me Arkadia for my unplayed copy.... live and learn.) But Arkadia was one of the few of 'my' games that my wife has learned, and I now have a couple of game groups where it will hopefully see more play. I have been trying to trade it back for a little while now, so this was especially nice.
And then my favorite item, as someone who is endeavoring to research all sorts of games, as a hopeful designer myself:
Sid Sackson's A Gamut of Games, hardbound, with a nice protective plastic cover.
There was also some snacks and the coolest card that spelled out Ho-Ho all in price tags from various thrift stores....

Thanks ever so much, Thrifty Santa! You are the best!

Well actually, open the box! My box from TS got here after a little detour through Texas. My secret Santa knew I liked woody stuff and family games, and didn't disappoint.

First up
CooCoo the Rocking Clown!
I've been eyeing this for a little while, now, so score!

Second
Cranium Doodle Tales
A party game for the family. We'll be trying this out soon.

Next
Bumparena
My TS saw that I had an incomplete set. So, I'm good, now.

And finally, a cool little puzzle game called Animalogic.

A great big thank you to my TS and happy new year to everyone on BGG. This was a total blast!!!

I got a call at work today. I listened on the line while the boys opened and narrated it, then read me the wonderful hand written letter!

Heroscape landscape! (and there's a Glyph of Valda that may be seperated from his master... please let me know if I should not return it. That glowing eye is piercing!)

Reminder if Spring butterfly kit. My youngest liked it along with Castle Keep:

His next older brother refuses to be photographed, unless of course he happens to be in disguise (on the left): http://lostsurprise.blogspot.com/2011/12/merry-christmas-fro...

I'm going to skip to the eldest for now, who has led the pack with Heroscape ventures and card gaming:
I'm really looking forward to playing Pirate Fluxx on New Year's Eve, it my most enjoyed version of the recent Fluxx themes. Somehow I need to work in a scrabble tile variant.

Now I need to confess, I completely failed to write a Wish List entry. I filled in some notes on my profile, but it blew my mind until our Good Elve's check-up email, and I couldn't get myself to write it up in delinquency. I was appropriately floggedin the email, forcing Santa dig deep in his naughty/nice list to see how I qualified. *whew*! Glad those boy's and my amazing wife (who also refused to be photographed) made up for me.

Anyway..back to my 11YO Tolkien Fanatic. I had thrifted, reported, and failed to remove Lord of the Rings from my Wish List, and my Santa found out and from waht it sounds like was inspired by some Rum Cake. He threw in an expansion and sent it anyway! I had given my thrifted copy to my 11YO and he loved it, maybe too well, as Frodo got knee capped and last night I heard my wife calling him to pick up pieces she tried to avoid with the vacuum (no promises!) Aside from utter glee at the Friends and Foes expansion in the new (un-tape-monkey'd, btw!) box, he let out a raucaus laugh that all the hobbits has been knee-capped by FedEx and frost-bite EXCEPT FRODO!

I adore the lazy susan card holder. My wife 'd at my novel joy in it, but was pleased with Court of Medici. We play a lot of these kind of games.

Finally, the Laser Battle towers lit up and simultaneously reported their explosions when I opened the box. Not sure if Santa planned it that way.. ninja I'm looking forward to some good Pew-Pew-Pew duels.

Thanks again for the great gifts and super-sleuthing this Thriftmas.
Merry Christmas!

My Santa decided to go to the Caribbean instead of delivering presents this year, BUT MY ELF ROCKS!

I got two big boxes today with wrapped gifts! I am so very happy with my Elf.

The first game is Pirates Quest for Davy Jones Gold with really neat minature ships. Next was the great game of Broadsides, you can tell that this game is really loved, we will enjoy owning it and playing it.

Deluxe Star trek Scene it with all pieces sealed. Klingons and Captains, will have fun beating the hubby on this one.

The last one is a wizards of the Coast Vesion of Sword & Skull

Plus a large supply of special pink styrofoam peanuts that is Sparkles the cat's favorite toy.

I could not be happier. Thanks to my ELF!!!!!!

This was my first year to do any type of Secret Santa; and I chose Thrifty Santa. Boy was it fun. My Thrifty Santa package came in right before we went to Mississippi to be with family. I wrote notes on what I opened though. There were 4 presents in the box.

#1 This present rattled alot (I had to shake them all before I opened them to see if I could figure out what was inside.) It sounded like Scrabble but the box was too big. Hmmm, it sure sounds like it has lot of pieces. RRIIIPPPPPP! It's Pente! Right off my wishlist! I opened it up to find Santa had included some pretty flat marbles to sub as pieces, how cool!

#2 This one sounds like it has an insert of some sort. RRIIIPPPPPP! Scrabble Slam the deluxe version! Pretty tricky after #1 Santa!

#3 I think this one is a card game by the way it sounds and how it is shaped. RRIIIPPPPPP! It's Rage!

#4 Present 4 has some pretty hefty rattles to it. I'm really stumpted here. RRIIIPPPPPP! Racko!

I'm really happy Santa! Thanks so much!

I apologize for not getting this post up earlier but the past two weeks have been quite busy with late holiday get togethers and stuff.

A couple of days after christmas my family calls me at work to let me know that Secret Santa has arrived! My daughter is anxious for dad to get home and open up the package.

First up is the very nice Christmas card!

Then here comes the goods! My daughter sees the Tiddly Winks and grabs them first to play with.

Next up is The Secret Door! Cool.. I had just commented on a post saying I had never seen this game before and now I own a copy!

Then we have:

BANG! This will get taken to work to be played at lunch break!

I have quite a few more to add including: A DC Heroes adventure, Battle of Britain, PanzerBlitz and more.. but the upload pic interface is acting wonky and I have to go pick my daughter up from school care.

I'll post more tonight at home.

EDIT:
And now that I'm home

DC HEROES Module. I haven't played DC in a long time, but I'll be sure to look over this one and add it to my collection. Good news is I did not have this one!

The Amazeing Labyrinth! This one is a hit! My daughter and I have played it already. She really likes this one.

Now for the two wargames that I did not have...

Up first:
Panzerblitz

and

The Battle over Britain by TSR. I look forward to going over the rules on this one.

A really nice collection of games. Thanks Santa!!
