I'm an avid supporter of independent games..and I enjoy watching games get published as well as helping with that process in whatever way I can.
I'd like keep the number of projects on the list at a reasonable level, therefore it will not have EVERY game available on the crowd funding sites, I'm going to try and filter based upon several criteria. If I don't list a game that you want to see here just Geekmail me.
This list doesn't aim to supercede or replace other Kickstarter lists...this list is to help the projects get and keep attention by having a list that is updated with new projects and kept current regarding each campaigns progress. Funded games will be moved to the bottom or deleted so the list is easy to follow chronologically. I'll use my discretion as to what games I list, but if you know of one just let me know. Some games listed need money within a week or two in order to get funded, others might have more time but have fairly large funding goals, $15,000 for example. Some games may already be funded but have overfunding goals to reach. Really any game is eligible.
I'm going to Bold in Red the projects that are coming down to the wire, usually a two weeks or less.
I'll try and update this list frequently...at least every couple of days if not daily or multiple times in a day, so if you subscribe you might want to subscribe to specific games.
Please let me know if this Geeklist helped you discover and/or fund a game, also let the designers know that you saw it here (post a comment on their Kickstarter page)... Thanks! List of games with links to their entry (sorted by funding end date):
Western Town - ends 4/9/12 Lands Unknown - ends 4/21/12 Zpocalypse - ends 4/22/12 Shadow Days - ends 4/23/12 Fleet - ends 4/27/12 Rithmomachia - ends 4/27/12 Wilderness - ends 4/30/12 Massilia - ends 5/1/12

(all monetary totals are variable depending upon the exchange rate at the time of updates).
Quote: Western Town allows you to take on the role of Marshal of a fast-growing town in the Far West. You will have to show your determination to become the most promising town in the West. Title awarded by Abraham Lincoln in person.
Western Town is a western-atmosphere management game you play with cards. It can be played with 2 to 4 players and is accessible for everyone starting at 12 years old - for administrative reasons, 14 years old and up will be indicated on the box. Games lasts 1h30m for 4 players, 45 minutes for 2 players.
A building-adding mechanism helps the players to stay in the game and not get lost in an amount of choices at the beginning of the game. It also allows a new round. In fact, Western Town offers 22 different buildings, 6 of them are put on a side every round. These "Bonus" buildings are forced to adapt to a strategy depending on the functions of the possible constructions and various combos.
Western fans will be satisfied : the game emerges using logic, bluff, backstabbing (as found in westerns) and finally the intervention of indians to cool even the most reckless players.

Quote: Zpocalypse is a survival board game set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Two to four players start in a basement/fallout shelter which can lead out to several base locations or even through the tunnels to sewer grates throughout the transformable board. Their survivors are trying to make it day to day in a world torn apart from the walking dead.
As in any survival game one needs food, guns, ammo, and more. Players go out into the wasteland and scavenge for supplies, or perhaps to find a new gun or melee weapon to fend off the next zombie attack.
In addition to gathering supplies, each player forms and controls their own squad. Each squad works to fortify the base(s). However your walls and barbed wire won’t hold the dead for long, and they’re getting hungry.
Player's receive victory points for killing zombies, building defenses, and successfully completing goals. Victory points show who is soldiering on the best in this wasteland. The final tally of points determines the winner. Victory points also act as experience points for leveling up a character.
The game combines combat, resource collecting, character development, team play, and strategy towards the goal of surviving in the Zpocalypse!

Quote: Rithmomachia is an early European strategic board game based on the mathematic harmony principles of Anicius Manlius Severinus Boëthius. Little is known of the origin of the game with certainty, but it is assumed to have originated around 1030. It was played by monks and scholars as a teaching aid and for amusement in the courts or Europe, leading to its epithet "The Philosopher's Game".
Modern commenters on the game have played up the math aspects and complexity of the game - some of this confusion may stem from the wide ranging, error filled and fragmented nature of the surviving documentation on the game. The introduction of chess to Europe and new mathematical principles coming in vogue relegated the game to a historical footnote. In recent years however, a resurgence of interest has proven that it is in fact a very elegant and fluid game.
Chess fans, students of math and history, strategy and board gamers, and Society of Creative Anachronism enthusiasts may enjoy this game!

http://www.indiegogo.com/Wilderness-A-Game-of-Survival
Quote: FryxGames is in the process of mass-producing Wilderness, the #2 geekbuzz item on Essen 2011. Then only a few hand-made and expensive copies were available and quickly sold out. Now a printed version with enhanced game-play and graphics is being produced in 1500 copies. http://www.indiegogo.com/Wilderness-A-Game-of-SurvivalMake sure to watch the nice trailer video there! Wilderness is about very much about survival, but also racing to the goal (nearest village) and utilizing your cards and situation to your best advantage. At 2h play time and 2-8 players, it is an excellent thematic family game with a lot of tactical decisions to be made. By supporting the project, you can get the game * to your door * before appearing in stores (if your game store even gets copy at all) * for a cost (45$) lower than in stores (shipping is added though) You may also order hand-molded and -painted figures for your game, like for the hand-made edition. There is also a possibility to get advertising space on FryxGames' website. More information about the game is available at www.fryxgames.se

Board Game: Massilia

Quote: Massilia the beautiful – its strategic location on the Mediterranean has made it an important trading port of the Roman Empire, bringing prosperity to the city. Its market has become one of the most popular on the coast, and merchants are fighting to be able to install their stalls. Competition is tough to make a fortune, especially since the customer is demanding. This requires having well-stocked stalls to attract the wealthy customers and increase its reputation. But be careful not to incur the wrath of the consul as this could cost you. However, you can always count on the gods and goddesses to give you a boost, with, of course, some offerings. And yes, everything is paid in this world ...
In Massilia, each player will be able to use different colored dice to perform actions. There are four different colors corresponding to four different actions. On his turn, a player can choose a die and perform the corresponding action: Buy goods at the port, move a client or the consul on the market, make offerings to divinities to recover bonuses (cards), and buy reputation. The value of the die shows the number of times that the action may be made. The goal is to obtain the highest reputation at the end of the day by setting up stalls on the market to sell goods at the best price that the player will have bought in port.
