The requirements for games to be listed on this list are:

- Perfect information per http://www.gametheory.net/dictionary/PerfectInformation.html
- Must also be a complete information game per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complete_information
- Supports more than two players well
- Either has less than 20 ratings, or has an average rating above 6.5

Please comment on the ideal player count for each game. In the case of game systems (eg 18XX), only one entry from the system should be listed.

The only think not know at game start is the plantation tiles. The next set is still flipped over after the current set it taken. Otherwise nothing random at all, and it is sequential.

I believe Civilization fits the bill.

Works well with four players and makes for a full day of quality gaming with seven willing players.

I'm guessing this applies. I wasn't sure if this had the strategic depth in a perfect information multiplayer game that you're looking for, but I'd liken it to Torres in terms of decision making and strategy.

The oases are face up, the number of camels remaining is known, and all moves are in the open, so I can't think of any part of the game that doesn't disclose information. As for a sweet spot, I think it plays remarkably well through its entire range of players, but prefer having at least 3 players instead of just 2.

With few exceptions the 18XX series are perfect information games. Typically 4 players is the sweet spot, tho depending on the group many work very well from 2-6 players.

Only luck is the initial selection of which player plays which faction. Only hindrance to perfect information is that if played in a darkish room, it's hard to tell which piece is which color. That is not so much a hindrance to perfect information from a game theoretical sense so this one stays.

I have only played once and with 5. I would guess that this is the best number, but repeated playings are needed here to be sure.

IMO, the best way to play this is with 4 players, using the burial grounds rules. If you set those purial grounds properly, you can get a game as tall as in the picture.

I'd add New England here. The available cards and tiles are there for everyone to see at the beginning of each turn, and the number of shillings is visible for each player, so you can attempt to decide your place in the turn order, and the result of each player's play is decided before the next player plays.

The optimum number of players is the max, four. With four, the territorial choices become difficult later in the game, as the field of play fills up.

Very good game.
