Believe it or not, this was the second time that Titan has made it to the table on game night. I don't think those involved had any expectations they would actually finish it. It was more a learning game for Liz anf Gregg. They were in good hands, Mark has been practicing with the online version.
Reviews were mixed (or so I heard). But don't count this one out just yet. I have a feeling we will see it every now and then (unless Mark forgets it at home).

Game was likely exposed to humid storage conditions at Valley Games' factory or warehouse, because the game has a slight musty smell. In addition, the rulebook staples are rusted (but still hold the rulebook together). One inside box corner is split; otherwise, the box is in good condition. The plastic storage tray is cracked. All the important stuff - the rulebook, the counter sheets, and the game board - appear undamaged.

One year at Origins (early 1990s I believe), I played a game of Titan on an expanded board. We started at 6 PM, and called it at 6 AM the next morning (with the game being nowhere near concluded).
The board was designed for eight players. There was a fourth type of Tower creature (undead), and a whole new line of undead creatures. Also, there was a new ring inside the Mountains/Tundra ring where one could recruit gods with multiple Colossi.

Game Condition: Very good. Cardboard bagged, minimaps are still glued together at top. Does not appear that game has ever been played.
Box Condition: Scuffing along all edges/corners - no split edges or dishing. Three roughly fingertip-sized spots of discoloration towards lower portion of back/bottom of box.

AH version. All the chits are counted and present. It is missing 3 of the blank chits that come with the punchboards. The box shows some shelf wear and there is one slightly spit bottom edge that has worn and shows a bit of the inside box through the split if you look close.

This is my all time favorite game.I first got the avalon hill version in the early 80's when i was a teenager and me and some friends would kill some time playing this.This one is hard to bring out with more than 2 players due to the player elimination factor and also the length of the game.It is not to bad to bring out if you have a long game day event with alot of people because as players get eliminated there is other people they can game with.Also not knowing how long the game is going to last can make it hard to bring out as I have seen two player games that last 30 minutes and some that have lasted 6 hours.

Length speaks against it becoming a widespread lifestyle game, but I could happily play it every day. It's got an astonishing depth to it that takes time just to be aware of, and just changing the number of start players makes the game importantly different.

I was lucky to have some really good, long time players in our gaming group to learn this game from. Now only to be able to keep on playing with people out the group.
I do own the iPad version of this game, which greatly speeds-up the gameplay, but I really miss rolling 18 dice for an attack!
