Guillotine was the closing filler. I snagged Robespierre on the opening play, preempting day 1. I also did a swap w/ Matt L. to strengthen my position. Still, Matt held on for the win.

After 7 Wonders, there was still time for a filler, so we chose Guillotine. This was the usual light-hearted affair. Highlights included:
- Josh picking up a 1-pointer (Rival Executioner) which comes with a random noble from the deck; this turned out to be a -1 card! - Chris G managing to get Louis XVI (5 points), only to lose him when I played a card (Missed!) that causes a player to put their last noble back. Shortly afterward, the day was ended and the King escaped!
1. Will 13 (8) 2. Chris G 12 (7) 3. Gareth 9 (8) 4. Simon 8 (7) 5. Gary 7 (7) 6. Josh 6 (6.5)

I had left this during the micro-meet last weekend, so Mike suggested we play it before I took it home.
If any of you remember my friends Wendy & Thorsten that I brought to gaming once, this was a birthday gift from them more than a year ago, so I'm happy that I finally got in a couple plays of it this month, as part of my owned-but-unplayed games quest. Mike and Theo tied for an 18-point win when Mike decapitated Robespierre, thus ending the 3rd day prematurely. I had 3 palace guards and Marie Antoinette but also a negative-6-points-worth stack of grays, so I was back at 14. Melvin was somewhere back there too.

They gave it to me as a, I'm sorry it took us so long to send you your boardgame order.
I played it with my dad and brother and it was an instant hit. It's a really great fillergame. It's fun to play and easy to master.

On that note I'll bring this. Mike has been "Jonesin'" for a play and can't find his copy.

Guillotine. Wizards of the Coast edition. Slightly dinged box, rules and cards crisp and like new.
Item #2 is Voltage
Voltage -- very similar to Balloon Cup -- is the exact same box size as Lost Cities and others in the Kosmos 2-Player line. This means that all your Eurogame snob friends won't easily notice that American game on your shelf.
This copy of Voltage is still in shrink.
Item #3 is Pecking Order
This copy is unused, and the cards are still in shrink. Everything is in great condition, except the box has a tear in the bottom right in the middle. It's about an inch long, but this is a very sturdy box, so everything is fine inside. The tear is easily overlooked. In fact, I accidentally overlooked it when I bought it.
Item #4 is Xactika
Opened but unused, with cards still in shrink. Excellent condition.
Shipping to U.S. locations only, but shipping is on me.

12 plays
I'm a little surprised to see this so low. This is another favorite of my roommates. I'm sure it has seen at least 10 plays that I have not been involved in.
