Had some free time today and decided to play this great solo game from Victory Games (I) and Eric Lee Smith. It's been several years since this one hit the table. I actually got two plays in; the first one ended quickly due to some bad dice rolls and a Union Sweep event that swept Mosby right off the map. The second game was better, going the distance for a Mosby victory. The game is fairly easy to win, especially once you hit on the optimal strategy, but is still a great time anyway.

Confederate raider Colonel Mosby raids Union targets like trains and and supplies, recruiting assistance from the local population. Classic Shmosby...

I've played just at 25 games of this and still enjoy pulling it out from time to time. Some things become a little static but I have an endearing interest in The War For Southern Independence. Still, a good play.

My company sent me to Oklahoma City and comped me nicely for gas, so I stopped by my favorite FLGS and grabbed this and the next four games. They have a nice collection of 2nd hand games. This long out of print gem was already on my wishlist.

Just played 6 turns of Mosby's Raiders.
Skimmed through the rules and started playing having only read half of them (yep, it's possible with this one). Really fun game, with a real Guerrilla feel to it.

Iff this, as your supposed to really try and avoid combat whilst blowing things up, attending weddings and kidnapping govenors. Dash and darring do in a grey jacket. Also solataire, and rather good.

This geek is no stranger to the SR Award list, and this time he offers us a short-and-sweet recap of Colonel Mosby's short-and-sweet foray behind Union lines. And I hate him for it, because now he's put yet another solo wargame onto my wishlist. Great read!

When I read this was a purely solitaire game by Victory Games (I), visions of Ambush! ran through my head, which is probably setting it up to fail, but I couldn't resist, especially when I found it 2nd hand for a good price.

Good condition, probably falls in the catagory of "players copy." That is, everything is there and in pretty good shape (no tears or blemishes), but it does show some wear. Counters carefully sorted into counter tray (included).
Free shipping to CONUS, and I'll cover the first $12 shipping to anywhere else.

Gently used copy of a great solitaire ACW game - somehow during a flurry of trades I ended up with a second copy of this game, so I am putting the nicer of the two copies up for trade.
Condition is gently used, there is some shelf ware but the components are all there and accounted for, smoke free home.
Free shipping to USA/Canada, first $15 to anywhere else.

Mosby's Raiders - Victory Games c 1985
Box is worn and scuffed. Contents are in great condition. Cards look like they were just separated. Instruction manual looks almost new. The map is gorgeous. Again, barely seems like it was ever unfolded. Counters are secure in their tray with lid. Mosby is sitting on his horse atop the stand and the die is accounted for. Great stuff.
Starting Bid $5.
