I need a racing game. This one can drone on for hours or even days depending on the number of players or laps run. Plenty of time for a Mai Tai or Pina Colada in between turns. Another one that's sand friendly and supports lots of players. You either like it or not. But hey, if you're on my island, this is the one you'll be playing. My island, my choice. Now shut up and roll while I go mix more drinks.

There were only a few of us still around Sunday night so we played a 6-player game of this, using the great player sheets from Tim (yeastman) that I laminated. Peter started on the pole position but quickly fell to the back of the pack. I was jostling my way through traffic, ranging from second to fifth, taking body damage along the way. Greg was running cleanly out in the lead until the backstretch when his 7-year old son gambled in 6th gear to take a lead he would not relinquish. Going into the final corners, I got caught up with Clint for the nth time and took my final body damage to crash out. Peter managed to avoid my flaming wreckage to plod in for last place.

Excellent shape. I was a bit pessimistic on the contents - everything are strewn all over the box and there was a handful of extra d6 thrown in. But my 'front seat' inventory reveals all is present save one of the green cars!
Looks like an extra track or two might be involved as well...
Will update when I get a chance to do a proper inventory tonight.
Edit: I'd like to give this to my bother-in-law as a gift - if anyone has a spare, please contact me to see if we can work something out.

My other home-based hobby is racing large slot cars: 1/32 or 1/24 scale. My track is Carrera Digital, so the cars can change lanes, pass and block other cars, use virtual fuel, etc. Tuning the cars and building scenery around the track are very stress-busting activities!

English Eurogames First Edition. Very good to almost like new condition. Box has some very minor shelf wear.
Comes with ten never used, reusable, full-color laminated player mats for use with dry erase markers. Player mats are usable for both basic and advanced rules. They scale from one to three laps.

Had the new set with the Porsche promo and I found the Shanghai map set, the 10th ann. map, and had the new Chicago map set. Sold it all on the cheap. I do like the game and those French maps were a lucky find and I got both sets on ebay.fr for under $35 shipped. Think I sold all of them for $75. To get all of those back now... Easily $200.

I keep telling myself that I found this for my son but that is probably not the whole truth. This one is cool as it not only includes the one car with the track there are another 10 cars as well. Paid $9.99 at GW. I have seen this on an auction site with just the track but not with the additional cars.

Don, Matthew, James & will played the Monaco board of this old race game.
Matthew managed first and second place with the ferrari red team. James came seoond with green, Don came forth and fifth, Will sixth and crashed and James was also seventh.
