Axis & Allies miniatures x2.
Played two Eastern front battles against the Russians. 300 points per side.
My German Army is getting pretty stout. I used two Tiger I's, a King Tiger, a Hummel, Panzer IV G and two 88's along with three good platoons of infantry.

My 300 point army.

Really enjoying this game a lot! I'm looking for some more Russian and American infantry, and some good American armor. Message me if you are trying to unload any.

Bought an Early War booster pack at antique store for $8.

Not a great thrift, but I've been getting into this lately.

A few years ago they were giving the starter sets out at Origins as part of the registration swag bag. Up until then the only exposure to the game I'd had was Axis & Allies Naval Miniatures: War at Sea. Both are pretty cool games.

There's nothing to bring back childhood memories of toy soldiers, tanks, and sandbox battles like AA:M. The cool part is I get to bring them all. AA:M, AA:WaS, and AA:A20. And the island makes for a huge sandbox to play in with all this plastic. Even if I only got to bring what I have from my collection, it's a moot point. I've got them all. So Pokemon can "suck it".

Quality of these is mixed. Some of them are tremendous in detail and colouring, some, not so good. Also some problems with scale consistency particularly in the earlier "V1" sets of vehicles, certainly a nice step up from memoir 44

Am I right in thinking that the vehicles and soldiers are at a different scale. Do you notice it much once you've started playing?

Vehicles from set 1 - 5 were not scaled consistently. They were mostly made to fit the 2" hexes. Infantry were scaled properly at 1:100. Planes were scaled to 1:200. Artillery from all sets was not scaled either but they are closer than the vehicles from sets 1 - 5 and the later sets did a better job of getting close to scale (1:100). The vehicles from sets 6 - 10 were properly scaled at 1:100. There are a few vehicles from the early sets which do end up being very close to 1:100 and work just fine with the other 1:100 pieces. Interestingly, the new Angles 20 game is scaled at 1:100 and there are stats in the back of the rules for these new planes if you wanted to use them with the land game.

Pure plastic crack and fairly decent sculpts of the armor. Lots of variety to choose from both in nationality, year, and type. And the best part is that they're all painted (though not even close to a professional standard). The size started at 1/100 and eventually went to 15mm to match the size of FoW minis.

I thought 1:100 was 15mm?? The vehicles in sets 1-5 were not any specific scale. They vary a lot. Some are very close to 15mm while others, especially the larger pieces, are an entirely different size. It seems that they were mostly going for the ability to fit within a hex.

Still, this is a very good beer & pretzels game. The variety of units is more than any other game I've seen including some miniatures games and the sculpts are pretty good. The fact that you don't have to pick up a paintbrush is a huge plus, unlike what you get with Flames of War. Also, I never liked the sculpts of the men in FoW. They always seemed a bit too stout and squat.

We love this game, everyone has their own faction and age isn't an issue with game play. The pieces are really nice looking and the rule are good for beginners.

I got to play a very satisfactory A&A Miniatures game with my wife and a buddy after church on Sunday.
We spent 350 build points and my wife and I used primarily German units, with a couple Romanians, and my friend built mostly American with a couple UK units.

I've lost with the Germans three or four times in a row, and I ended up losing again, but I was much closer this time.
My friend always builds tons of Shermans and swarms one of my flanks. He built 8 Shermans this time, but I was able to knock out 3 of them out early in the game with infantry and a fancy German officer.

The game took around 3 hours, and my opponent took all three objectives and still had a tank, 5 artillery, and about 5 infantry, while my wife and I only had handful of pieces left.
Someday I'll win with the Germans!

Aυτό που δείχνεις είναι το starter pack που βγηκε το 2008 με τίτλο 39-45 και με το οποίο άλλαξε η κλίμακα στα άρματα και όχι το πρώτο starter που λέει το λινκ. Εσύ ποιο δίνεις; Και τα booster απο ποιο set είναι;

This is for two booster boxes, not the blister pack shown in the image.

One box is from the base set. It has been opened. 8 of the 9 pre-painted minis are still sealed in the original wrapping (the other is missing). The cards for the minis are still sealed in their packaging. The minis include two tanks (U.S. I think), some soldiers and a piece of light artillery. The other box is from "Set II" and is still sealed.
