Aton - In a recent trade for another game (as yet unplayed), the trader asked if I'd be interested in this title. Since it is an abstract game, I said "yes" and am so glad I did.
We played this twice, back-to-back, and both my daughter and I really enjoyed it. It is simple, yet interesting and challenging. Lots of different way to win and in our first game, she slipped the win right by me. But, I am came back to win the 2nd game.

I only played games on 20 of the 29 days in February: 51 plays of 38 distinct games, 5 of which were new to me (and listed in bold below):

Aton was one of my most pleasant surprises last year (a freebie from BGG.CON 2011). I've enjoyed playing this especially with my 11-year-old son who doesn't care for long involved strategic games, but loves party games and shorter, more straightforward games. Aton is a game that helps us meet in the middle and provides some interesting decisions with multiple ways to win while staying under a half-hour. My son's beat me in 3 of the 4 sessions.
Blink is the other game I play most often with this 11-year-old son, usually in the form of best out of 3, 5, or 7 games in a row (and I count each of these "tournaments" as one game). This may well contend for being "the quickest game on earth".
