As would I. Sold my copy off a couple years ago.

Great party game which can oh so easily be converted into an actual drinking game. If you combine it with RDI2, you can run up to 8 people at once and it's pandemonium. If you get the right group of people it's a great time.

Even better if the person playing Gog voices the cards like an ogre. We let one of our friends play him just because he does such a damn funny job of it.

This game is definitely worth a play or two. The theme and artwork are both awesome!

Red Dragon Inn 2 (and 3?) are nice for the extra characters, but I wouldn't play it with more than 4 because player elimination can be kind of brutal.

It was looking iffy for The Red Dragon Inn to make it to a table, but the streak continues. This is by far the most played game I've seen at the BGoM sessions. I don't even know what would be No. 2. I do know that Jacque reigns supreme.

Jacque won
David 2nd (drunk)
Kathy 3rd (killed)
Chris or Christopher? 4th (out of gold)

No BGoM gaming session would be complete without a stop at The Red Dragon. I know at least a couple of games were played, but the record shows just one result.

David -- Won
Jacque -- Drunk
Clint -- Drunk
Eric -- Broke
Seth -- Broke
Ben -- Broke

I never got an exact tally, but I think David and Jacque estimated they played ~7 games of Red Dragon Inn that day (with various other people). Seth and Eric played a lot of games of this with them.

I love We Didn't Playtest This At All but Red Dragon Inn has the character concept down pat. Learning a characters strengths and weaknesses is a big part of the game. Alot of times a new player will play a fortitude damaging card on my troll or Paladin, and I'll explain to them that it serves better purpose played on the weak Fortitude characters, unless I am without cards or close to intoxication.

But yea, some of the stuff does get kind of repetitive. Especially with the "Gambling" characters. Some of them seem to have like 1/2 of their deck as gambling or cheat cards of some type. Of course, running a character out of money IS the easiest way to eliminate them.

Looking forward to find 3 pigeons on our next game day to play The Red Dragon Inn 3 with me. It doesn't fit great with the other 2 games, but it's fun in its own right.

With about an hour left, The Red Dragon Inn opened for business. Clint, if you ever win this game, it will be a true display of genius. It's like everyone at the table has you in his/her sights. Perhaps you might try NOT winning a boatload of coin right off the bat. I haven't figured this one out either, but I have learned that you do not want to antagonize Jacque. Don't raise her bet, don't buy her a drink and whatever you do, don't try to lower her fortitude.

Clint - Drunk and tossed out
Pete - Drunk and passed out
Curt - Drunk and cussed out
Eric - Shared win
Sam - Shared win
Jacque - Pretended to share win but secretly declared the sole victor

RDI has its Round of Gambling, which starts off when someone plays an Action - Gambling card. The Slugfest folks have created a "game within a game" called "Gambling? I'm In!" which features several interesting gambling games you might find in a medieval tavern.

The first of many games of Red Dragon Inn was played:

Kathy 1st
Mike R 2nd
Jeff 3rd
David 4th
Jacque 5th
Matt 6th

Matt was eliminated early, and so spent a good amount of time graciously helping me beta test the iPad version of Alien Frontiers. thumbsup

If the new player is at all geeky, we usually go with this (combined with The Red Dragon Inn 2 and The Red Dragon Inn 3) I find that people really get into the characters...and the booze.

If Red Dragon Inn seems a bit too complex/chaotic, we sometimes lead with Kill Doctor Lucky, which isn't the best game, but the humor tends to work with my friends, and the version I have is gorgeous. It's relativeley simple and does a good job of showing that there are games other than Monopoly, Risk, and Scrabble. (I do not reccomend using His Little Dog Too.)

However if those games seem innapropriate, we tend to go with something like Blokus, but we have recently got King of Tokyo, and that might be the best gateway game yet. I just need to find someone else new to try it with.

Picked this one up at the local gamestore on Saturday. Tried it out vs my wife. With the help of Pooky the Psychotic Bunny, I took my wife's gold and forced her to sleep in the stables. It was fun, though a little limited with only 2 players. I can't wait to break this out with 3 or 4.
I also want to get The Red Dragon Inn 2 to add more characters.

Cosmic Encounter took longer to play than we expected, and Merchants of the Middle Ages finished while that game was in process. So Chris left after that game, but Curt and Paul stuck around to get in some more gaming.

Red Dragon Inn is a game where you play the standard adventuring party (bard, rogue, wizard, etc) -- but instead of questing and whatnot, this game takes place after the adventure is over, and you're just hanging out at the inn, drinking and gambling and generally causing trouble for yourself. Your goal for the evening is to be the last of your party left in the bar. Every player has a hand of cards, a stack of gold, a stamina value, and an alcohol value. If you ever run out of gold, then the barkeep throws you out since you can't pay for any more of your drinks. However, if your alcohol content ever reaches your stamina, then you pass out and are kicked out of the bar that way.

So your goal is to not only stay rich and sober, but to get your friends drunk and to take all of their money in gambling.

Lots of 'take that!' sort of fun with a great theme.

Players:
David - Won
Curt - (2nd) - drunk
Josh - (3rd) - drunk
Jacque - (4th) - drunk
