MATCH 2
Loopin' Louie vs. Mü
This is the 33-32 matchup, and likely the only matchup we will have between games with identical seeding (ties broken by BGG rating, so technically Mü is the 32 seed).
Stephen nominated Loopin' Louie as well (I promise I didn't stack the bracket!), with a placement value of 2.20.

Was certainly exciting to see this big box edition on the shelf. No rules, missing a few tokens, but the big problem is that Louie apparently looped away..not in the box. Bummer. The motor works at least. So, got some spare parts now and a better box than the well-used copy I have already.
$1.98 City Thrift.

Found it at Savers in Layton. The pickin's have been pretty slim there of late. (Though I did pass up a Vampire: The Eternal Struggle starter pack about a week ago.) I was expecting a similarly disappointing selection today as well. But this little (big) gem gave me a pleasant surprise.
Unfortunately, my in-store inventory check revealed that the box was missing every last chicken token, an arm for attaching one of the player levers to the base and the instructions. I bought it anyway, just for the BGG thrifting glory, as well as for the opportunity to offer the parts up on the spare parts list. But as I was driving home it occured to my that it probably wouldn't be too difficult to substitute some home-rigged parts that would make this little guy playable. So now I entreat my fellow geeks for some advice: how difficult would it be to get this baby up and running?
(Bonus- often when games are missing parts I ask the cashier if I can have a discount. I figure, they're asking as much for this game as they are for the games that aren't missing any parts, so if I pay this much, I'm getting ripped off, right? Anyway, she asked the manager, or whoever, and the took a buck off. Total price after tax: $1.05!!)

When I saw the box it was in rough shape... beat up and crushed, taped on one side. When I picked it up a chicken token fell out. Uh-oh. Still I couldn't pass on it so I took it home. Luckily it's only missing 8 chicken tokens. Everything else is there and in fine working order. Now I just need replacement tokens and I can bust this out at the next family event!

Loopin' Louie is back again, and in Italy is now called Picchiatello (instead than Gino Pilotino as before). Editrice Giochi demoed it at their stand. A long-awaited return, the tables were always full. The tournament went desert, alas, but probably the events advertising (posters with programs, announcements and such) are one of the aspects of the event that have to be worked on more.

I went over to an aunt's house with my wife and we had a boardgame night with her and her husband.
They are new to boardgames. We played blokus, ticket to ride, and carcassonne.
Then i remembered that she used to have a copy of Loopin Louie. My wife had never play it before so i asked her to get it out.
we played loopin louie for a solid hour and a half. I might have to hunt this down. its just so fun!

76+ plays
This is the first game I bought here (and I bought two). I jumped on the chance to get the German edition because I love the game and couldn't find it in the states for a reasonable price.
The box came completely smashed (Amazon.de has the worst packaging on the planet). I picked the worst copy for myself and will try to sell the other or give it to my sister and her kids.
This is the ultimate hit and has seen countless plays. It's the only game I guesstimate how many times we play, since games go fast. And I only record games I'm involved with, not the ones where I'm not a player.
Just need new batteries in it...

German Version. Played a few times. Everything still works and is complete. I don't think I have the instructions anymore, but they were in German anyway, and it's not like you actually need instructions.

I hit 5 stores this morning on my way into work and this was all to be found
EDIT: This has been quite the hit at my house. It was in pristine condition. Like it was never played. All tokens present as well.
I can't seem to be able to ever put it away......IT gets brought back out almost immediately. Now I must sell it to rid me of this curse.

On my way to Chicago for a class, had to stop and get gas...look, there's a GW! This is the first one of these I have ever found...missing 3 chicken tokens and I need to find a battery to see if it fires up! 1992 big box edition.
If nobody has any spares that I can bargain for, anyone know the size of generic buttons used as replacements?
$2.99, somewhere off I-80 in Illinois.
