Played for the first time with my 4 1/2 year old daughter.
This game was snapped up in last years "The Works" game sale for £1.99. My intention was that for that price it was a nice little treat for my daughter when the time was right. So this month (as a treat for doing well at school) we decided to give it to her.
It's quite a simple shared memory game but has great comedy packed in for youngsters - the "poo" card leaves my daughter in histerics. The mechanics are very simple but work really well and my daughter had no problems learning the rules.
As far as memory games go, I find this one more entertaining than most and am quite happy to play it if suggested.
My daughter now refers to this game as "The Chicken Poo Game"

I won't mention who any of these are going to end up with as they are still currently wrapped under the tree (although I don't think any are users of the Geek despite my efforts)
2 of these going to 2 different people

Au Backe! is a wonderful card game adaption of Chicken Cha Cha Cha. Au Backe is fun with kids and adults.
I love this sort of game. A game that's tons of fun and a laugh-filled romp to play, but still takes skill and concentration to win. I have fun losing this game!

Forgot I grabbed these yesterday until I unpacked the bag.
The local Works didn't have them so I took the chance when I ventured further afield (successfully losing the parent whose children this will be a Christmas present for giving me enough time to pick it up without them knowing)

Edit: I know that looks like it says £7.99 on the poll, but of course it's really £1.99

This is essentially memory, but with cards from your hand. The Chicken Poo cards are a nice touch and if I was rating the game for kids, it would be much higher, but it is a lower score for me personally. I'll be holding on to it though so that when my daughter is 4 or 5 years old we can play it.

Hi. I am an elementary school teacher in an inner city school. There are hundreds of small stories that we teachers find ourselves participating in weekly. There are many life-changing stories that begin with the depths of human sadness and alienation and turn into the cultivation of growth, character and revelation.
So,I set you up with such an introduction, but just now decided I couldn't exploit one of my interactions with my kids to get a prize......but i got another story, it is powerful too:
Walking out from work. Snow building on the trees, I want to get home; I am exhausted. I see a man lying on the road next to a parked car! He is struggling to raise himself up, negotiating gravity and the ice with his elbows. He is around 60 year’s old, heavy-set man, wearing a pained embarrassed expression on his face. I run over. "Are you alright sir?"
"I slipped and fell. And my knees are not too good. Can you give me a hand?" he says to me, too embarrassed to even look up at me.
"Of course," I say hunching over and grabbing his elbow.
Problem is, I recently had back surgery.....I blew a disc in my spinal column, and wasn't suppose to lift a cup of coffee, let alone a two hundred and fifty pound man. I was hoping all he needed was a little leverage.
We worked him onto his rear end. He was so embarrassed....shaking his head and wearing a strained sunken look upon his face. "Alright, let's get you on your feet," I said.
The man was not exaggerating when he said his knees were "not too good". A better description would have been to say, "My knees don't work at all....there is no strength in them and you are going to have to lift me up like a bag of 250 pound sand." One hand, one arm, wasn't going to do it.......soon I had both of my arms under his armpits....he was breathing rapidly, using all of his strength, but he had none.
I heard my wife in my head telling me how stupid I was to not get help...........I am going reinjure my back, maybe for good...i am being stupid, not kind!!..........I was trying to negotiate all the weight onto my legs, but my back felt like it was going to snap. I can't do this!!! What am I going to do!!
And then I looked over the man's shoulder, and I saw a spot under a tree where an elderly woman had approached me but a week before: "Can you help me? I can't seem to get the door closed to my office, up those stairs." Apparently, she worked for Steepletown Community services, helping troubled youth. It was a Sunday that I was at work, and I was already late to a Game Day, a Board Game extravaganza, at my friends. I fixed her door after going back into my school and getting a screwdriver and some pliers. And I ended up talking with her for a long while, probably forty five minutes. She had recently lost her husband.
So, back to me with this two-hundred pound man in my arms. I see this lady in my head, and I get this huge burst of energy! I get this feeling that I was meant to help the lady and I was the one meant to be here helping this man! I said a little prayer to any spirits in the area, and I stood the man on his feet like I would my two year old. "There you go," I said, thinking now my back would crumble and he would have to help me. I said something reassuring to him, I don't remember what it was. He shook my hand with a genuine thank you and a smile. He walked off.
My back didn't hurt that day, or the day after! No injury, no pain. You don't understand- my back hurts if I watch football.
I am so glad I was there to help.

Zoch edition. I really need a BGG connection at the fleamarket to make sure I do not buy the same stuff again and again. But that would probably cost more then the Euro I paid again for that one.

If you are lost, I'll be there to break your trust and ravage all your lust for life.
In the confusion and the aftermath you are my signal fire. Hold me close, 'cause I need you to guide me to safety. The only resolution and the only joy is the faint spark of forgiveness in your eyes, I don't want to wait forever...

As touch on above, as a tall person, your lower back really takes a beating.
Here's a short list of things that are made for small people that can really get to your back: - chairs - sinks - toilets - strollers - lawn mowers - shower heads (and getting yourself under one) - desks - tables - lifting babies, children, boxes, etc ...
This issue was brought to the fore for me this past month after I tweaked my back muscles doing god knows what. It really makes you realize all the things you do to accommodate your world given your height.
Now I have to budget my time in front of the computer as well as at the game table. And just when I was going to get two tables to set up the campaign of Barabrossa: Kiev to Rostov
So take care of your backs my tall comrades !
