Unpunched. Box has some wear but structurally sound. Components are unused and unpunched. Lots of maps and over 200 pieces. With all the Titan and Olympus movies coming out.. this old game finds new relevance... being based on the same stories.

I don't know if you'll allow this, as the description says it includes RPG rules. I sold my copy many years ago, but frankly don't remember any RPG rules about it!

This is one I've actually used - I ran a GURPS mythological game using these boards. If there really are RPG rules included, I didn't use them at all.

Hemispheres (1978)

This album picked up where 2112 and A Farewell to Kings left off. It isn't as well known as those or Rush's subsequent releases, but it is simply brilliant.

It only had four songs on it, but still clocks in at 36 minutes! The entire first side picks up from "Cygnus X-1" off of Farewell. Called "Cygnus X-1, Book 2 - Hemispheres" (or simply "Hemispheres"), the band ruminates on the different human natures personified by Apollo (all work and no play) and Dionysis (all play and no work). Only by bringing them both into human nature can we have one single, perfect sphere. A great piece.

Side 2 included the first long Rush instrumental (not counting sections of "2112 Suite"), "La Villa Strangiata," that Rush liked to play in concert.

And it included "The Trees," a short (by Rush standards) song that has some of Neil Peart's very finest lyrics.

The local planetarium in Cincinnati used to do laser light shows on Friday nights. I can't remember all the ones they used to offer (I think Led Zeppelin was one), but I definitely remember going to see the Rush show.

Too bad that planetarium is long gone. cry It would've been great to go back and take the kids.

Yeah, I remember the time you and I took some friends to the show. I think you'd asked them what they thought of it afterward, and the guy sitting next to me said "It was great except for the sing-along part," looking at me.

I'd sung through the entire concert. (Hadn't done that since seeing The Who in 1989.)

Miracleman: The Golden Age

The only other continuous series Neil Gaiman worked on was Miracleman, which he picked up after Alan Moore decided he had said all he could about the god-like figure he had created. Neil took the characters and made them human again, while retaining their immortality. It was a smart decision, since he had had success in applying these same characteristics to the Endless.

I count myself among the many people who hope that Neil will get the chance to finish telling his stories of the Miraclemen.

I believe the Gaiman / McFarlane lawsuit in question was in reference to properties created for Spawn (notably, Angela, Medieval Spawn, and Cagliostro).

Gaiman has commented on his website regarding McFarlane's claims to the Miracleman properties, which Gaiman purports to be rather shaky, if at all present. Link (look for article date: Wednesday, February 25, 2004) :

Yeah, but my understanding of the deal was that Neil would give McAssholeFarland the rights to Angela and Medieval Spawn, in exchange for the rights to the Miracleman franchise. Once decided, it fell into the courts again because of some ridiculous fanagaling that McFarland did to try to get the Miracleman rights BACK.

Word has it that it fell through, though. At least, I hope that's the case....

I'd like to resist the idea of throwing all of Greco-Roman mythology together and adhere more closely to The Iliad and The Odyssey. But here is the suggestion, even though it appears to be more directly inspired by Jason and the Argonauts.
