My wife doesn't like gaming much, but she loves Japan and things Japanese.
I caught wind of this recent release and was intrigued by its combination of mechanics, particularly the push-your-luck aspect of raids.
We've played a session and my wife liked the game ... even though she lost - an unheard of event. Hope to play again soon.

My birthday present from my sis this year. It's a lot like Stone Age but better! I really like the press your luck way of collecting treasure to buy the cards. And the ninja theme is fantastic!

A game of this started with the hopes they could finish it in 45 minutes but they did not make it. At about 9:45 they called the game, and I do not think they had made it far enough that they could accurately project a winner.

Friday night: I taught this game (Ninjato) to two new players. We made a 4 player game. It was the first time I played with 4 and it was great fun!
Saturday: A game of Puzzle Strike. I played with Grave and my girlfriend was playing with Lum. I got beat pretty hard. We then played a game of Ticket to Ride: Europe. We played with her ​​sister who is a new player. She loved the game even if she didn't score much point ...!

I missed the boat on this one earlier, largely because I wanted to test it at Essen but didn't get a chance. After a few more positive reviews showed up, it crept up my wantlist until a local retailer had a promo on Tournay, which was also on my wishlist. I bagged Tournay and snapped up Ninjato on the way out to cut some of the postage. Only played Ninjato once so far - yesterday actually - but really enjoyed it. Made a lot of small mistakes and had a hard time getting into the flow of the game, but I really like how everything meshes together.

Just added this one to my collection. I had been keeping an eye on it for a while put got put off by the suggestion that it was a Euro game with a pasted on theme. However a video review on Board to Death has convinced me that's not the case. I'm fascinated with any thing Japanese/Ninja/Samurai in theme and this looks like it has some interesting mechanics and aspects to it (particularly keen on the different 'styles' and how you know which guard is outside the house, but not those inside). Very cool. Hopefully it will play well with two, as my girlfriend is my main games partner at the moment (everyone else is busy on the nights I'm not!).

Another recent acquisition that we loved. Ninjato is another game with several options and things happening at once, but it's not so challenging that it puts off lighter gamers. This was a definite winner for us.
