Teaching it to a new player for a one-off game is way too much work.
And I just don't have the time to commit to playing in a league (which is where the game is at its best). But it remains one of my favourite games ever, so it stays.

As usual i don't have much to show from the last month, i'm a slow painter and i paint to relax, a terribly slow combination!

Anyway, from the little i finished i decided to enter a little miniature that i like a lot:
A Blood Bowl (Third Edition) goblin with chainsaw, actually it could be from the 2nd edition of the game, Citadel miniatures from the early 90s, 28mm scale and painted with Vallejo colours.

From what I can tell, it's missing the following:
Painting Guide Team Roster Pad 1 of the 4 Star Player cards The box is there, but it has significant wearing of the colour, though it is intact with one taped corner. I can take more pictures of the box if anyone is interested.
Includes Blood Bowl: DeathZone, but missing the following:
Team Roster Pad 4 trophies box
Also includes: An almost complete Elf team, only missing a lineman but painted not very well. A Chaos Dwarf/Hobgoblin team, one player of which looks professionally painted.
Some figures have been painted, some just primed, but there are no bits missing from any of them.
More pictures can be seen in this thread:

This is one that I hesitate to add.
I love it.
Fanatics exist.
Leagues all over.
Lots of indie production of team minis / accessories.
It has to be close

Well it was a great weekend of gaming for me. On Friday night I had a great game of Blood Bowl (Third Edition). I played a juiced up Human team with 4 Blitzers and a giant Ogre Lineman against a High Elves team that was pretty fast and agile. I lost 3-2 but did have a chance to tie the game on the last turn. I tried a long bomb to my Catcher in the end zone but the High Elves rolled a 6 for the interception. Man I love this game.
On Saturday I got together at my FLGS with the Omaha Area Gamers Guild. We had 13 people show up and I got in the follwoing games:
Small World It was a 4-player game that I started with Merchant Humans, Berserking Tritons, and Seafaring Skeletons. Fun game but I finished in 3rd place.
Agricola This was my third time playing this and I finished 3rd in a 4-player game. I really like this game but my farm never goes as planned.
7 Wonders This was a 5-player game that I won with a Military strategy, scoring all 18 Military points and getting the purple guild card that scores you 1 VP for each -1 Military tokens the players to your right and left have. Each of them had 6 negative 1 military tokens, so that gave me another 12 points.
On Sunday I got to play my first game of:
Mage Knight: Board Game WOW, this is a very complicated game and there is a ton of stuff to remember on each turn but I absolutely loved it. Once I killed my first Orc and got some Fame and Positive Reputation, I was hooked. It was a 3 player game and I finished 2nd. I cant wait to play this one again.
The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game We then played a 3-player game of the new expansion. Khazad-Dum. We did the Into the Pit scenario and got a brutal beatdown from the game. I was playing a Tactics deck and Boromir who was carrying the Cave Torch was killed on the very first turn. We lost Bilbo on turn 3 and the Staging Area was clogged with Dark Locations. I hit 50 Threat by turn 5 and it was all over.
Overall it was a great weekend of gaming.

So cool...and fun...especially playing with different teams where the strengths and weaknesses differ (i.e.: Elves vs. Dwarves), so you must be able to adapt your strategy to fit your team.

Mostly painted human team. There are four or five extra metal miniatures in the human mix. Partially painted Orc team. Box is a little beaten up, but structurally sound. Contents are in great condition.

after closer examination the video is not a review, but a pretty dry session recording, no video reviews for Blood Bowl (3rd edition)

This one is by far my favorite game ever made. But ten years ago we played it to death.
Now everyone wants it to come back out of retirement. After all, Blood Bowl is always a good campaign-driven game to unite your game club.

The League idea never came to fruition, but with the popularity of BB: Team Manager in our group, surely an opportunity to play the original would be met eagerly? (John P has tons of BB stuff. John?)

I still remember walking through a gameshop near our village, in search for a gift for my brother...I kept walking around the store and kept stumbling over a big pile of crazy looking boxes taped together...
After an hour or so I turned to the pile to check out what had been "in my way" for all that time and opened the Bloodbowl box...I was amazed...unpainted mini's a 50 page rulebook, some stuff I could not define, and then the price of it...
Then the shopkeeper said he would sell it to me with 50% discount add a free example of deathzone and a free extra team of my choice...
I could not resist, amazed my brother with a ton of goodies (I had bought some paint and brushes as well)
Bloodbowl has been our #1 game since that historic moment...we played at eurobowl, several tournaments and are member of a ver active local league...

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE GAME!!!!
This is a partial set that I acquired when a local game store went out of business. It does not appear to be playable as is, but is great if you are missing bits or trying to put together a spare set. There are no minis included or box included, and I am not sure if even the bits are complete. Contents are as follows:
Blood Bowl board - It appears to be in excellent shape - no dings, whitening, or tears.
Two dugouts (or team areas). These are card and the only slight defects I see are a couple of corners are dinged.
Three clear templates - Pass Template, scatter template, and a sideline template. All appear in great shape.
Playbook - This is not in fantastic shape - it has what looks like water damage on the back cover and a couple of small tears.
5 player reference cards and a pack of Team Roster sheets - all in good shape
3 decks of cards (Magic - 16 cards, Random Events - 18 cards, Dirty Tricks - 7 cards) I am fairly sure some are missing here...
The Ball Token! Looks in fine shape.
Shipping: I will pay for USPS priority shipping to all 50 states.

This was the beginning! I admit in the start I was humouring you but this game will always hold a special place in my heart for being the first in our gaming journey.
It took a while......a long while...but that first game I smashed you made me feel so proud I was finally competative.

as great as the "one off" games are, it is the grind of running a team through a season & playoffs during League play that makes this one the Undisputed King IMO....not sure if anything will ever replace it as my #1
