Heh. She sat her team in a circle in the reserve box and passed out some Litko tokens as "snacks". This was based on her real-life experience with soccer, of course.
The other idea she came up with was 2-minute time-outs ala NHL penalties. If a player did something wacky or "misbehaved" we'd mark his/her spot on the pitch and put them in the "time out chair" in the reserve box. She thought it was hilarious. (and just to be clear, there's no "time out chair" at our house, I think she got all this from watching hockey)
Other than Kick-off results and Fouling we were playing with the full LRB6 rules set. I was amazed at how quickly/easily she understood the rules. Dodging + tackle zones was the only thing she had a little trouble with, but otherwise, she got it pretty much right away.
This is awesome! Its so great when you can share your passion with your kids, happy for you bro Im not sure i would have the patients to play with my boys!!
