I'm not sure twhat the scale of the miniatures are, but I'll find out fot you.
The pipe cleaner you see on the B-17 is placed whenever you lose an engine. For all other damage, you have an overhead view of the B-17 to record all the damage taken and other recorded info.
Found out that it must be 1/144 scale planes! But I still haven't got my hands on the rules - if there is any special rules for this type of game? How is the board used? How is the sticks with the planes used? Altitude and so on? What are the letters on the board for?

René, Those planes are 1/285th (or 300th) scale planes. I use to have the B-17 and a few of the Me109s, Me 110s and FW190s. They were made by both CinC miniatures and GHQ miniatures. How I know this is the size, look at the Me109 to the alligator clip used to secure it to the stand. The fighter is too smale in comparison. As you have seen, I’m doing up 1/144th B-17s and fighters as well and my fighters are much bigger than the alligator clips. I gave up on the 1/285th scale as the wings were separate bits and my FW190s wings kept falling off.
Scott, one thing I would like to know is, how many fighters did the GM have on hand? I hope to put on a convention game and to have 13 enemy aircraft per B-17 would be costly and hard to transport. I’m trying to work out the odds to trim down the numbers of minis but I’m not good at stats.
