I like this picture of a cosy abode: A warm fire, a pile of comfy pillows, easy to read game aids, a smiling face, and a dog wearing an ascot. What's not to like? The only thing missing is the left corner of the picture. At first glance, it looks like our framed smiler has only to claim one flag on her right front to achieve an envelopment victory.
But no ... upon examination, one of these positions shows a failed three of a kind and the other has no chance of anything but a ragtag pillow fight. Sadly, I must conclude it is the picture taker who managed an envelopment, and this photo was taken after the fact. I can only assume the Lady Field General is smiling because the picture taker took out the garbage and raked the lawn earlier.
She may have lost the battle, but she won the war.
