The yellowy flecks in the timber have been highlighted significantly by the flash. They are not a distraction in use. In fact you're hard pressed to see them unless you look closely.
The base of this spinner is made from a nice thick piece of kwila. The pointer is painted MDF. The vertical axle holding the pointer is brass. The lines and lettering are done with gold and silver metallic pens. The whole has been varnished thickly and set upon small stick on hemispherical plastic/rubber feet.
The relative dimensions of the various results are the same as for the game's original spinner. I resisted the temptation to increase the size of the triple yeild section
There was a wooden cap for the vertical axle but that fell off ages ago. I'd have replaced it if the spinner could come off but it cannot. This also explains the presence of the washers above the spinner. They too are stuck in place.
A very satisfying heavy spinner. You can really give this a solid flick and it won't slide around the table. It is also spill safe.
