Been meaning to do something with the Revolutionary War for a while, so here we go! Bits of it came out a bit more modern than I would have expected, but I love how this schema turned out.

How can you tell where the ports are?

The stripes leading out into the water... you're the second person to ask this, which flabbergasts me. The first person even added a question as to why cities with names over the water had that stripe on them.
:what:!
I actually thought this person was joking at first. It's amazing to me how wargame map conventions have locked us out of even minor graphical shifts like that. Apparently I have underestimated its subtlety... sigh.

Isn't Philadelphia a port in WtP?

Hi Mark,

Have just enjoyed your map for Barren Victory II (which I hope prints).
Very nive work on We The People too.

You make a surpriced comment of the "modern" look of the board. Did you try changing the perfect city circles to something circular but not so geometrically perfected. It might bring the old town feeling forward.

As the rest of the map has your touch to it, the circles and line stand out and this for me, gives the modern feel to the map.

Thank you for making it a pleasure to play the games.

This map is quite beautiful. I would really like a higher resolution version with Philadelphia shown as a port. I really want to print this and use it to play.

With pieces in place, would you be able to see the state groups? It looks like the pieces would cover the colored circles. Unless they've been enlarged?

This, to me, is the biggest difficulty of the existing board.
