Here is a photograph of a female person who has won the Miss Canada pageant, and who is playing Hannibal, so she is clearly not representative of the average Canadian female person. I submit for your consideration the proposition that if she were to wear instead a sash identifying herself as the winner of a contest held to establish the most thoroughly and unimpressively average Canadian girl, and if she were to reinforce this by claiming that her appearance and interests were unremarkable among her peer group, one might derive some small measure of amusement from the surreptitious study of gullible fairgoers' reactions as they consider the existence of a land they never dreamed possible, a vast frozen land of long, cold nights and hot, wargaming women--redundant, I know--and then as they realize that no such land exists; that they are sad, incomplete people; and that this game will sit unplayed on their shelf, mocking them as failures until the merciful end of their tedious, unfulfilling lives.

Similarly, I claim that if she were to wear a sash identifying herself as the worst player of this game in a nation of millions, and if she were to then savagely destroy every opponent who sat down opposite her, that might be another way to derive amusement from the bitter tears of middle-aged men.

The "Miss Nachos And A Cerveza" sash... not sure where that came from. I bet it would be a better conversation starter than the "Miss Canada" sash, though.

Ahh. To be quite honest, I had no idea beauty queens would have sponsors that weren't affiliated with...you know...beauty. Revlon. Sure. Pantene Pro-V. Seems right. Valley Games? Time to play, "One of these things is not like the other."
