I was asked to add a bit more information about this Battletech board, but I don't have much to say. This was the setup at the Battletech booth in the exhibit hall at GenCon 2007. I think the dropship may have had blinking lights, I can't quite recall. Very sweet setup, I agree.

Thanks for a bit of additonal info, crawling the web found this detail at on of the classic battletech communities:

Quote:
The CSO table was the best yet in its 3 years. There were tons of amazing minis. Sounguru and his buddy (sorry I forgot who he said helped him) also soaked 90+ hrs in a butt kicking homemade Union dropship for one end of the CSO table. It was made from an old deathstar model. They rigged it with LEDs everywhere and a plume of fire and smoke out the bottom that glowing flame. It had a built in stereo/speaker system too. played a random selection of rock music, the Imperial March and other stuff.

Looks like this may have been a display game only, but still impressive.

Don't you hate it as, just as you have everything set up, the jumpship that you are planning to have part of the battlefield, all of a sudden decides to take off, leaving scorch marks all over the playing area. Not sure if that or a cat attack is worse.
